Be very very careful putting anything craft related into a loft Eric. I have seen someones paper stash worth £100+ be transforemed into a huge soggy paper brick. Plus if you have ever stored wool in a loft in anything you wouldn't even dream of putting your threads in there. Those plastic drawers are in no way unsightly and I would rather have those on display than lose my stash, although I have no stash :rotfl: To make them more appealing could you put a sheet of wrapping paper/12*12 in the clear drawer fronts? You can always swap them out when you change decor.

I shall take a pic of my WIP over this weekend. Have a stitchy weekend all!

I don't think I will be putting my threads in the loft as I'll want access to them 24/7 :rotfl:Temporarily it might be useful to store the other storage towers in the loft while we sort out the small room before unveiling Flat Eric's Craft Room :T
  • Afternoon all!!

Still no stitching this end though I am itching to do so but have ebay accounts to complete and must do those before I start stitching - almost there!!

Flat Eric - love your idea of craft room, must see pics when it's done! We moved to a four bed with intention of 4th bedroom becoming a play room for the girls, unfortunately it has gradually become a storage room for all the ebay bits we sell!! one day hey.....

nmm - what a fantastic start you've made, love those kits if my memory serves me right I've done a couple of those kits but at present the pictures have gone awol - think they're in a box of pictures that are still bubble wrapped from our move...........2 years ago:rotfl::rotfl:

Loving everyone's updates, promise to put some pics on once I can get stitching again!

I've started on a duckie for the front of a onesie. I'm running out of aida and we can't get any more until next payday, so my projects are getting smaller!

I love the Mario. Is that a frame from the £1 shop. I have seen them there and think they are great but couldn't think what I could stitch for them....lol

I have been stitching like a mad woman. I bought a kit from ebay to use as a birth sampler for a friend of mine whose daughter is expecting the first grand child. However, even though she asked me to stitch it I know she isn't going to appreciate the work in it and so wasn't looking forward to doing it, but am actually enjoying it...will get pics up later...xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

I haven't managed any stitching either today as spring cleaning and tidying the loft has consumed the day but I feel better that things are a bit more sorted now and we can actually move round our loft without banging into things or having to balance boxes on top of other boxes to get past. I agree with what you said Flowers, stuff does get forgotten about. I am pleased however to be reacquainted with some gloves I bought in Australia and I also found a brand new unopened portable cd player with speakers/and headphones so I was quite pleased at that. (not sure if the one I have at the moment works)

Decided to have a night off my challange tonight. I've been good all day and I really fancy one of my home made muffin with some ice cream oh and a glass of wine! I'm sure if I allow this to be my only treat this week that the scales won't grumble too much!
  • Oh I must have had the !!!!piest week ever (not me personally thankfully)

First, friend 1 loses her much wanted baby at 16 weeks pregnant. Then this afternoon I find out friend2 died on Thursday morning. Sucks. big style,

Must be the day for cleaning. I attacked the cupboard of doom with much fervour this morning. Dragged it all out. sorted it. Then I was sidetracked from reducing and repacking with the awful news. it's now strewn across the floor and I just can;t be bothered with it.

Still, I might do some x-stitiching with a cuppa. If that doesn't cheer me up, what will eh xxx

Will be chirpier tomorrow xxx (Glad to see you back Chicky xxx)

TMIF, so sorry to hear about your two pieces of bad news, what a horrid week you have had. I hope next week is better.

Could I ask a queston, those of you who have designed your own charts and use paper, is it normal grid paper? I am thinking about Christmas card's but unlike last year when I used single charts to make one card I want to design it completely from scratch, ie my own design... Or attempt too!

Also looks whats on my to do list now... I daren't order it or I would want to start it.
