Hi everyone, how lovely to find this thread on MSF :))

Hope you don't mind but would like to post an appeal to see if anyone has got a copy of Cross Stitch Gold issue 57, or alternatively a chart of Lucie Heaton's Bouncing Baby's ABC? I have the first part, but not the second, and really really want to stitch it for my son's nursery as a present when he leaves in August.

I am of course willing to pay for a copy, and postage costs if necessary. I have been searching on eBay but with no luck so far and really need to get started soon if I am to finish it before the end of summer.

Massive thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

    Hi Claire,

I've been given a stack of xs mags and I'm pretty sure there are some copies of Cross Stitch Gold among them. Which year was issue 57 published, I'll have a look (the stack goes back to 1999 :rotfl::rotfl: so a clue on the year would be a help !)

PS have you checked if the magazine itself has back copies of that issue that you could buy ?

Only a few more hours in the office and then it will be hometime :D

Looking forward to stitchy time this weekend. Not sure what I will be stitching yet. Quite like the idea of stitching the Christmas Kisses design from a little while ago....

If any of you subscribe to cross stitcher, check out page 12 and the Boxing Clever advert.

I've also posted their weblink above.

In short, for £10 a month plus postage you get a craft themed goodie box every month !! quite appealing !

1709938429944040_1.jpgCan anyone help me? I have bought this kit to stitch for a friends mum but she now says she's not so keen on the red. Can you offer any suggestions about how it can be toned down to more black and white?

    THanks

I'd be tempted to do the bottom lighthouse in blue and white. I'm not sure what style of blue though? A deep blue colour perhaps?

I've started on a duckie for the front of a onesie. I'm running out of aida and we can't get any more until next payday, so my projects are getting smaller!
