Hi Claire,

I've been given a stack of xs mags and I'm pretty sure there are some copies of Cross Stitch Gold among them. Which year was issue 57 published, I'll have a look (the stack goes back to 1999 :rotfl::rotfl: so a clue on the year would be a help !)

PS have you checked if the magazine itself has back copies of that issue that you could buy ?

Can anyone help me? I have bought this kit to stitch for a friends mum but she now says she's not so keen on the red. Can you offer any suggestions about how it can be toned down to more black and white?

I'd be tempted to do the bottom lighthouse in blue and white. I'm not sure what style of blue though? A deep blue colour perhaps?
