Yay! World Map is finished. Will post photo when camera is charged.

DD 's friend is getting married next month and is running out of time to cross stitch hearts for sixty favour bags. She has outsourced them to various friends and their mums! I have 15 to do. Will post photo of first one when complete. I only have myself to blame as I taught them both to stitch when they were about thirteen.

Really want to start my next David Bowie but it won't be for a few weeks now.

Not a clue on the magazines or issue numbers, I will have to take photos of them. Some of the mounts are creased too, so wouldn't be able to use them neither! Going to have to be more careful in future when eBaying

GRRRRRRR - I'd be opening an 'item not as described' case.
If only ever list cover kits if I know the chart is contained in them.

We do have a wooden swinging crib which was bought by my MiL and has been loaned to many of the children in the family for when they are first born before they go into a cot - last time I counted it had been used by 12 babies spanning 30 years and I would love to do a small quilt to fit it which has all of their names on there.

That is such a lovely idea :j
Meant to ask about Fairy Godmother - are you stitching it on sparkly fabric?

Yes, I bought Pearlescent evenweave especially for her :)

Put a grouped pic of them up, then we can have a look and see if we have any of them. :)

Well the perfect start to the weekend (apart from the slight hangover I have due to drinking red wine last night !!) WOXS has dropped through my door and my OH is cooking me breakfast :j

I'm having my hair cut this afternoon so I hope to feel like a million dollars later :rotfl:

How is everyone? I'm sorry I haven't been posting much. I haven't found much time for cross stitch recently. and when I do switch on my computer, I've been playing candy crush!!

As I mentioned, I didn't think much of Cross Stitch Crazy this month but I like the look of WOXS and I feel inspired to have a proper nose and find something to stitch.

I also had some happy news recently. My friend is expecting, baby due later in the year so perfect excuse to stitch a sampler! I've already decided which one I'm stitching but I'm undecided about the border. The design size is aprox 20cm x 20cm and the border is stitched in a mixture of anchor white (1) and anchor ?yellow (301). This is sensible as it means it doesn't matter what sex the baby is but I've been wondering whether i really like the anchor 301? The border is simply 4 (cube) squares of yellow/4 (cube) squares of white but I can't decide what other colour would suit? Also I was wondering whether to stitch on the plain white aida supplied or perhaps use a patterned aida instead?

I don't want to go into too much details about the design on here so pm me if you want me to send you details

    WOXS - Issue 205

Looked promising from the moment I picked it up :)

Free Gift 1 - Thread organiser with magnetic strip, threads and three card charts (Cupcake one is simple and quick). This is a great gift, and I will definitely reuse this organiser (decent quality)

Free Gift 2 - Nelson & Tibs chart - Very cute design. It does have BABS but no too much of it.

AOY - Watching the Regatta (4 children under a striped awning looking out to sea) - Lovely design for AOY fans. Quite basic, but effective.

Letters page - Hmmm.....'Sue Craig from Fife' how many magazines have you send those pictures of the 3 sepia portraits in to? :rotfl:I have seen them in the most recent issues of CRC and WOXS now. I'm surprised the magazines don't check before printing duplicated things.

Shortcake Treat (strawberries and cream cake) - Not really for me.

New Baby cards (JE) - I like these but not sure I would stitch any. If I did it would be to put a baby name and date on the bottom and put in a small frame - it's a lot of work for card.

Animal Print ABC - Nice design although not something I would stitch. (And they have stitched my name as an example lol) :D

Craft Xtra - Foxgloves. I don't do flowers lol

Back to school motifs - (We don't even 'finish school' for another fortnight here, later for you guys down south :rotfl: There wasn't really any that caught my eye if I'm honest

Rose Bouquet - Very pretty but the thought of stitching it made me shudder

Gypsy Caravan - Adorable! The backstitch is so minimal but really sets of the design. I really like this, but not sure what I would stitch it for (although that's never stopped me before) :o

    Hanging Birdies - Erm...no thanks

Cupcake of the month - Still going strong!

Underwater Fantasy - Little Mermaid. Gorgeous, my DD loves her, as do I.

Juicy strawberries - Love the way these are created using no backstitch, it makes them look really lifelike.

    Hello all :)

Quick update from me: I've been working on the cinnamon cat design 'home sweet home' which has been a UFO for quite some time!

This is what it (should) end up like:

This is what it was sitting as when I picked it up last weekend:
