Good Morning Girls,
I have now complete my last Sandy Hook adult heart square - this is the red one.
I will take a photograph of the "rainbow" of hearts later - once I have washed and ironed them.
Next I am going to do my wee teddy bear for Sandy Hook - think of just making it one colour - its a pattern I got ages ago - not too sure where from. It will be for one of the wee girls who had the same birthday as me.
Hope everyone is well - I am ok - just working away. Bumped into one of the guys who interviewed me during the week and he said it was very close and if anytime in the future they needed to re-advertise they would let me know - so guess its nice to be appreciated like that. My current on site boss is leaving in two weeks and I am dreading who they are going to bring in to replace him - I am hoping it is one of our junior managers who will act up - he knows the place don't see why they should bring in someone who doesn't know the place or the people.
Well better get on with some stitching before going down to see my Da later.

Well done, even if you ache :T We have set up a gym in our spare bedroom, its got a punch bag, a cross trainer and a weight bench, now I just need to move my a** and use it :rotfl:. I found the pole on ebay in an auction might get it a bit cheaper linky finishes in 20 hours.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i must have missed that one. BIG HUGS Ta.... will keep my eye in it.
grrr one in york just went unsold at £80............... i've messaged her hoping she'll consider courier/ delivery.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
ta,
I'd been looking for local ones (hadn't looked at the postal ones as they seem to sell high + postage means you are paying almost full price)............ that and i want it NOW lol ............ keeping my eyes peeled tho.
just noticed the york one was a 50mm but hey beggers can't be choosers.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
hmmmmmmmmmm.
I need to buy some threads for london underground.
I have managed to gather a mix of ancor/ dmc for all but 2 or 3 threads (typically i am out of black AGAIN!!!!!!!!) - depating buying a pack of 12 black threads lol (£2.99).
question - should I do a bulk order of anchor (I have more anchor and running down my dmc stash) and order some of the colours i already have (in dmc) or a smaller order of just the anchor ones that I am missing??
my gut says order a bulk anchor - as that way I am unlikly to run out before finishing - where as if use the dmc and run out i wil need to order dmc possibly just for a tiny bit.

Yay! World Map is finished. Will post photo when camera is charged.
DD 's friend is getting married next month and is running out of time to cross stitch hearts for sixty favour bags. She has outsourced them to various friends and their mums! I have 15 to do. Will post photo of first one when complete. I only have myself to blame as I taught them both to stitch when they were about thirteen.
Really want to start my next David Bowie but it won't be for a few weeks now.
Good luck with the favour bags0 -
That is such a lovely idea :j
Yes, I bought Pearlescent evenweave especially for her
Put a grouped pic of them up, then we can have a look and see if we have any of them.
Problem is I have so many ideas of things I want to do and not enough time. But it's on the list:D
The pearlescent even weave really sets her off0 -
As always I love reading reviews of the mags My comments in blueWOXS - Issue 205
Looked promising from the moment I picked it up
Free Gift 1 - Thread organiser with magnetic strip, threads and three card charts (Cupcake one is simple and quick). This is a great gift, and I will definitely reuse this organiser (decent quality)
I agree a quality gift
Free Gift 2 - Nelson & Tibs chart - Very cute design. It does have BABS but no too much of it.
ok but a bit too cute for me
AOY - Watching the Regatta (4 children under a striped awning looking out to sea) - Lovely design for AOY fans. Quite basic, but effective.
really like the striped awning
Letters page - Hmmm.....'Sue Craig from Fife' how many magazines have you send those pictures of the 3 sepia portraits in to? :rotfl:I have seen them in the most recent issues of CRC and WOXS now. I'm surprised the magazines don't check before printing duplicated things.
the FF bear with the Union Jack cushion has also been in another mag
Shortcake Treat (strawberries and cream cake) - Not really for me.
I like this
New Baby cards (JE) - I like these but not sure I would stitch any. If I did it would be to put a baby name and date on the bottom and put in a small frame - it's a lot of work for card.
I agree. Only worth stitching if framed
Animal Print ABC - Nice design although not something I would stitch. (And they have stitched my name as an example lol)
different and could be useful though not as a complete alphabet
Craft Xtra - Foxgloves. I don't do flowers lol
I do but not these:D
Back to school motifs - (We don't even 'finish school' for another fortnight here, later for you guys down south :rotfl: There wasn't really any that caught my eye if I'm honest
don't like at all
Rose Bouquet - Very pretty but the thought of stitching it made me shudder
i like flowers but not these and I wouldn't stitch all that background. I would use coloured fabric and save time
Gypsy Caravan - Adorable! The backstitch is so minimal but really sets of the design. I really like this, but not sure what I would stitch it for (although that's never stopped me before)
not for me
Hanging Birdies - Erm...no thanks
if I wanted something like these I would make them from fabric not xs them
Cupcake of the month - Still going strong!
yuck
Underwater Fantasy - Little Mermaid. Gorgeous, my DD loves her, as do I.
not for me
Juicy strawberries - Love the way these are created using no backstitch, it makes them look really lifelike.
love love this. Definitely my favourite design this month
I don't usually take much notice of the preview of next month but at least 2 designs caught my eye Gorjuss and the Elegance in miniature chart
I also love the article about the Mirabila retreat as she is one of my favourite designers0 -
Hi ladies.
Louise. Very nice progress on FG, she's looking great already.
Tricksie. Look forward to seeing pic of completed WM.
Lindsey. FD card is lovely, did your husband appreciate it?
Squishy. Nice progress on your HSH design, I have that one in my stash.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
