Ailsb - have you complained to DMC?? the least they can do is apologise - but you never know you might get a freebie.

I started london underground last night.......... EEEEK at 18ct aida......... this could take me a while!!!
when you use it do you tend to use 1 thread of aida or 2?? it's so chunky with 2 and i binned the unbranded black i had found as it knotted 4 times in 20 stitches.

    spoke too soon.
I cleared my cache/ cookies etc and now "stretchy" works on every thread except this one.

I have posted to see if mods can shed any light but it may be we need to close this thread and start a new one - we suspected it had gremlins in it anyway with it always showing new posts where there were none........

Chicky - thanks for the link to DMC. I emailed them over a week ago but not had a reply. Must email again but want to do it on the real computer rather than tablet as its easier.

Should I wait to see if this thread is ok before posting photos or just give it a go. Don't want to make it worse.

    Hi ladies.

Chicky. Nice poppy cat. Look forward to seeing progress pics of Underground design.

JCS. The letter J is cute! Great progress already on the lady with bouquet, look forward to more pics, lovely design.

Ailsb. Look forward to seeing a progress pic of the china/ebay kit.
Also, way back in 2010 I had a DMC kit that ran out of colours but instead of emailing I called them and got really good service. I was sent out a whole skein of each colour that had run out.
On the link chicky gave there is a tel no, maybe try calling seeing as you have had no email reply.
    Hope you get sorted.

    As for me.
Have been stitching this week and it's coming along nicely. I want to move off of the white and grey of Santas beard but have promised myself that when get the beard done I can move onto a more colourful part :D

  • Have just been reading and catching up and I can't post a reply to an individual post or "go advanced" to create a new reply. I don't know if this is linked to the other problems but I have the same problem whether I use my desk top, laptop or iPad.

Squishy I love that Cinnamon Cat design. Lots of work in that border but it's very effective

sweetcarer Well done on completing your rainbow of hearts and look forward to seeing them all together.
Very encouraging comments about your recent job application even if it didn't work out well this time

winniepooh Love the stained glass flowers - the colours really pop against the black

PAP Great CS finds - I always look but very rarely find anything stitchy related. I have got that issue of Needlework magazine (and lots of others from the same time. In fact I was only looking through one recently - I stitched a design of Elizabeth and Darcy and there is a companion piece of Jane and Bingley which is now on my to do list
