  • OMG Sea I'm suitably shocked - almost sucking a lemon in fact. Hope you're feeling better soon! Take care.

I know! I can't believe how good he's being! I've been very upfront with him and said I remember nothing. Just need to get some sleep this afternoon now I think!

oh, and I've got to go back to school with these strips on my chin and have to think of some excuse as to why I have this injury!! Don't think UDI (unidentified drunken injury) would go down too well somehow.

  • Ouch, poor you! What a night! And I don't envy you having to explain your injuries at school.

I don't really know what it's like as I'm not really a drinker (don't like the taste and hate the morning after feeling) but at least the memory (or non-memory) of last night might make it easier to lay off the drink for a while.

Oh Sea, I'm sorry this happened - its like a debt lightbulb, isn't it, realising that you've got to stop drinking, at least for a while. I did it that way, in my late 20s - I used to meet up with the same crowd from all over the country, most weekends, and we'd drink all weekend. I realised I had to stop when I found myself one Sunday afternoon in some grotty cafe in Streatham, holding a cup of coffee with both hands, and not being able to get it to my mouth so I could drink it. I didn't drink booze for about 3 years after that, and ever since its just been one or two drinks every so often - I've gone months without drinking over the years, cos I don't fancy it the way I did. There's a way back, don't worry! Hugs to you.

Thanks - the support is lovely.

Karmacat - I think I want to become more like that - have an occasional drink, but be able to just have that. One major area is the confidence it gives that I will miss as I find drinking definitely makes me more confident! However, I'm 29 now and enoughs enough! I need to develop the confidence with out the drink.
