Thanks LT - I think I might be getting more intolerant to alcohol!! :)

Well, apart from the yr 11s who fell about laughing when I said I fell over a toy, school was fine - yrs 7 and 8 just wanted to tell me all their gross injury stories. The people in my dept just looked and me and took the mick all day!

Also discovered i have lost my debit card - must have been on sat night, although I had no idea I even used - but yes, FIFTY QUID!! I withdrew - not sure if I got it out to pay for taxis etc but I only had £20 in my purse today and no idea where the rest went. Hmm. Card not been used but huge pain not to have it.

Also the WM we were going to get has been sold - bah! So now the next one is £100. Am currently taking photos of things to ebay. HAVE to get some etc cash now as have been so stupid.

Meant to be going to Leeds for my friend's birthday this weekend, but I think I'm going to have to cry off - wouldn't be drinking and also can't afford a night round Leeds even without drink! Looking forward to a quiet weekend, doing stuff with well kids and getting on with bits and bobs I need to do.

    Hope all are well

ooh didn't see the posts on the next page! I too think I just had too much, can't drink as much as I used to and shouldn't be able to either! I have had memory blanks regularly but never a whole night - a definite lesson. I have never been one to pass out, or be sick. I actually wish sometimes I was! I just seem to be 'unconscious' of what i'm doing and have too ended up in some very dodgy situations. Now I don't want to be carrying on like that anymore.

OH has slipped a little, with a bit more drinking but is back onto once a week only again - he's actually completely changed with not drinking every night - it's amazing the difference. I actually find him more attractive as a partner, father to the kids, husband, everything - sounds strange I know.

    HI Sea
I've had memory black outs a few times with drinking too much (not recently) and red wine was always involved. Red wine is my favourite drink but I think maybe once in a while you get a dodgy bottle with memory-blanking chemicals. That's not to excuse drinking to excess but might make it less mysterious.

Good to hear your OH is confining drinking to once a week only. And well done cancelling the weekend away. Hope the chin heals up quickly (and I can well imagine that the year 11s would snigger!)

    Hi Sea

No, it doesn't seem strange to me that OH is more attractive now he's not drinking - after all, you married him! You must have liked him a bit! I'm glad nothing dodgy turned up at school about your chin - and if colleagues are taking the mick, thats a good thing, it shows they don't sense anything wrong, no one would do it if they thought there was a real problem.

Sorry you're going to miss the Leeds thing, and THE CARD!! sorry to go shouty too, but yike.... hopefully its gone down a drain somewhere, and won't be found for forty years.

Red wine is my tipple too now, but when I was drinking properly (well, improperly) it was beer. Sometimes mixed with cider, aargh, if you can believe it. When kids do stupid things, I really *remember* doing stupid things too.

    Have a good evening, hun.

I used to drink beer! Now white wine and vodka (no not together!!).

Am fuming now - OH just came back from taking his mum for a scan to see if the cancer has spread to her bones and then took her home again. The bil's have been home and left the kitchen in a complete state - OH tidied up but said his mum had already started - she really doesn't need to be doing that. Well out of order of b-i-l = they are meant to be here to help, not create mess and stress for her. She's on her own tonight, so I've sent OH back to have tea with her (actually, nto really sent, he was quite happy to go lol!!).

    Grrr.

hope your hubby has a 'word' with his brothers! And a kick somewhere would probably help as well. Glad you survived the children at work, they can be so 'helpful' can't they.

    :)

OH now shopping at the supermarket for his mum - can't believe the others didn't pick up on the fact that his mum isn't really eating and then only eats what she really fancies as is feeling so ill at the moment. So when he was there she mentioned she wanted a yogurt, but then realised non in date. Surely his family should just be looking out for her. She told OH she didn't want to be a nuisance, but what is family there for if not to help out when need be. I don't think his brothers would take any notice of him actually but I might give his sister a ring later and tell her to kick their butts!

OH just told me as well that when he took her to hospital she's given him a £100 cheque for the WM - nearly cried when he told me this. She says she's got quite a bit of money at the mo - has various insurances that pay out when in hospital etc - so I don't feel too bad! So grateful though. Relief. Hopefully can get the WM tomorrow.
