When people are properly insured (not like me!) its amazing what money they have. I went to a science fiction do with a friend of mine last year, she was recovering from breast cancer & hadn't worked for a year, and had a mortgage to pay. But she was keeping up with the mortgage no problem, and had brought £200 to spend at the convention!!!!! And she spent it, too!!!

Thats a lovely thing for your MiL to do, I'm so glad you're able to get the WM sorted now. And that practical support that your OH is giving her, she'll remember that for a long time, who came through when she needed it.

Hope your evening's going well too.

thanks- I think his brothers left last night and so had left it in that state - she tried to tidy it all today but was jsut too ill.

I'm just pottering about - snagged by chin before and felt very sick and dizzy!!! Honestly, I keep catching a glimpse of myself and laughing. It's beginning to go tight now - must be healing.

    Must start turbolisting.

Did pigsback before - loads of clicks, can't have checked mine in a while!

Hi Sea! Glad you are able to laugh about your injuries!

Good news too for the WM - it sounds as though OH is doing absolutely the right thing by his mum. shame his brother doesn't do the same, but at least she has your OH, so will get the support she needs somehow.

good news about the washer but shame about the reason for the money being available if you know what i mean. Glad OH is pitching in with his mum you often find it always lands on one person don't you and it's not always the person whose got the most time to help, if you know what i mean.

    hi all,

looks like she's having chemotherapy unless the scan comes back with really really bad news - will find out next week. So OH will take her along to that when S-i-l can't (she often goes abroad and works late etc).

Had bad paranoia today - reaffirmed why I want to not drink!!

Got another cheque through today - ok, only for £2 but still good for survey!! :D

off to take Sophia to dance!

    Hello all

Well, I think I've finally got over my hangover - feeling some much clearer and less depressed today. Paranoia still lingering, but shoul dgo soon I hope.

Chinny chin is scabbing delightfully - am sooooo attractive at the moment! :)

Got a little list of things to do tonight - list some bits on ebay, write a letter to a friend, put together my CJ LO :D as well as continue to sleep train William still - we are now alone for most of the night in bed (yippee!) but the getting off to sleep is still an issue.

Forgiven myself over the waste of money at the weekend - nothing to be done now. I have to raise some more money for Sophia's dancing class - her exam (£20), show costumes (£18!!) and tickets for the show (not sure how much yet). Wouldn't have had to worry if not for last weekend but hey ho.

Talked to my friend about sat night as she was gutted. Might go over with the kids and stay at my mum's for the night - they aren't going anywhere that charges so it'd just be soft drinks and I could be the des driver, saving everyone money! (they'll probably buy me a soft drink for driving :D). So will ring my mum and see what she says. Then I could see her on Mother's day morning and be back here for early afternoon.

I didn't feel the earthquake here although loads of others did. Slept like a log!
