neverdespairgirl - poor you! Thankfully there was always one of us that was well (ish) which always makes it easier. Hope you're all feeling a lot better now.

OH is slowly on the mend, as is DS, although he's still being a right grumpy little sod, which is unusual, he's a very cheerful toddler normally.

OH lay down on the study bed for a few minutes last night at 9pm - and woke up fully dressed this morning! Somehow it was my fault

OH has taken DS to my parents' house for the afternoon, so the grumpiness gets spread a bit. I'm having a nice cup of tea and then going to bed.

Glad you have your ink sorted! I don't know what kind of printer you have, but I use ebay - a new thing for my printer (laser) costs £70 <gulp> from Rymans, but I just bought a new one from ebay for £20 incl. postage.

I've got an HP one - even the refilled cartridges are a lot.

So glad to hear you 've got some time to rest today - hope it helps! :)

  • Mine is an HP laser 1200 series, and the £70 is a lot, which is why ebay is great!

  • Pleas tell me that wasnt 2 bottles just for you?!! Its so hard isnt it when thins get on top of you NOT to have a drink as it makes us feel better for a bit! Have to say I know I feel better when I dont but find it hard! Not going to make wine again as a bad idea so all that will go to car boot when I do one! Last year I dint have a drop or single fag for 10 months - felt better, lost weight (due to lighterlife mind!) and skin was great!!
Great that the guest gave you cartridges - always good to have a useful gift than one that ends up in bottom draw!
Any news on washing machine? Hope it arrives soon. Mine is insured because I go through machines loads (5 in 8 years!!) - possibly cat hair or water type but worth the money as call out here £50+
    Hugs for you!

Poor Sea, I do sympathise. I had just the one bottle last night but feel rough enough, and annoyed with myself. It's really hard to not drink, isn't it? If you want to have a no wine challenge - or support group - I will gladly join with you.

    hi

I have been trying to piece my night together - think I had about 1 and a half bottles of wine to myself. Then OH came back and I went out. Remember NOTHING from when I spoke to OH telling him I was coming home as bil and his friend had left and I didn't know where they were. Next thing I remember is in hospital.Split my chin open. NO idea how, where, when or how I got to hospital. Have stitches and glue. OH is being a diamond. I can't sleep and have slept for only about 4 hours, which is not like me at all.

Am a little worried actually. Even when I drink a lot I usually have memory of some of the evening and bits and pieces. BIG wake up call. Think I may have to have month(s) off alcohol, which slightly scares me, but I am more scared of the state I was in and the fact that I ended up in hospital.

Seaxwyn - yes, def challenge/group - will have a think once my head is a bit straighter!

I hurt all over! Bruises everywhere.

No more. I am fed up of this feeling of blanks, I am better than this and need to treat myself with more respect.

No drink, no fags. That's it. I've had it. If OH can turn things around in the way he has and be so chilled about last night, I can damn well sort myself out.

Well thank goodness you got to hospital and got patched up. I hope your chin's not too sore.

Sounds like a timely wake up call - and if we can get a group going (thanks ISOM for taking the initiative) it will do us all a lot of good. Hope you get some rest later.
