Seaxwyn, the nodietdiet thing looks good - may be hunting an "independant" out tomorrow!!

Sea, at least you don't want another ciggie, that is really positive progress!

Hope you feel less tired tomorrow - sleep well xx

    Hi thanks :)

I have no desire for cigs this morning so that's good - was really annoyed with myself but thankfully I don't think it's started me off again!

Started off well today with a nice breakfast. OH is doing DIY today - nocking out a built in cupboard in our room that is really useless and then we can move our wardrobe from Sophia's room to ours. So lots of banging and crashing going on today!

OH has been to the docs - all fine with his bloods etc which is good. He's noticed his 'anger' is going now he's not drinking. I think that he will start drinking occasionally again, but then I think is ok, as long as it remains occasionally as otherwise he'll probably just go off and binge madly I fear. Dr thinks he was using the drink as an emotional crutch and so now he's stopped things should improve generally. Sophia turned round to him the other day and told him she loves him again and he is much nicer to her now.

Not much MSE/DFW being done, but I think OH is having his lightbulb moment - saying how much he's saving not buying the beer (and cigs)! Progress!

We'll see how it all goes, eh?

Unfortunately, if he is truly alcoholic, then he can't drink at all - ever. Otherwise he's back there.

  • AM sorry to say that I agree with Z - not that I object to what Z says but because if OH is thinking of having "the odd one" then he is still in denial that he has a problem...I really hope that we are both wrong and that he doesent slide backwards again for all of you. Sounds like you're had a muchbetter couple of weeks with him not drinking. Is he going to AA & did you ever manage to go to alanon? Hugs for you! Hows RC going? I'm going to investigate the new website and see if its any better & if not wany try to swap to the at home because the food diary is just REALLY winding me up! WW was so much simpler but I prefer the RC diet! ahhhh why is nothing ever simple eh!

:) I agree ISOM about the RC diet - hope the new one will be better...I like the diet - and the embarrassing problem is subsiding now!!

Z & ISOM - I know. I fear it too. But I don't know if deep down I'm already shutting down and moving back from the whole situation. I no longer take any responsibility for any of it. I've done what I can. If this doesn't work, he knows that it's over, no more chances of any kind. Time will tell. He isn't going to AA as he doesn't think he has a problem - nor did the dr. I can't get to the Al-anon meetings for a while as I have options eve, then parents eve at school at the time when it's on grr.

Hi Sea! I have been good with the diet, despite not belonging to the online anymore. I had porridge for breakfast and mushroom omelette and salad for tea.

I did go out for lunch with the inlaws but chose the salmon, left my potatoes on the plate and ate loads of veggies. I did partake of the pud, which was a meringue thing, but without cream so I think as far as my choices are concerned, I have coped well and could have done so so much worse!!

I don't feel any lighter yet......or am I just being impatient :rotfl:
