How awful & scary! Hope you did better than me on the smoking...in my case it was 2 out of 3!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Hi all - day 9 of the not drinking
Also I am still not smokingSo all good really.
However I just weighed myself to try out some of those keep fit/weight loss sites that were on Martin's email today and OMG!!! NOT good. Really quite shocked - I'm 7lbs heavier than i thought. Oops. Really need to start doing something about it - got asked by a kid at school if I was pregnant yesterday (all my weight seems to go on my belly - still little git!!;) ).
I really don't know what to do though. I like Slimming World but am a little tired of it and keep slipping back into bad habits with it. I guess there is WW but I did that when younger and find it makes me think about food continually. Hmmm. Will have to look up the options - I def need something structured!
Also had an awful shock with my mobile bill - I didn't realise how much I had used it after the free minutes had been used up. Cue a MASSIVE bill. So come May I'm reducing to the basic package, only using it for mobile calls and I've signed up to the tiscali broadband, line rental and free calls (national landline) any time for £19.99. So that should help save a bit of money.
Must dash - will try to catch up a little more tonight.

Go on how much was the mobile bill!! Re the weight know what you mean - have pu on 9ibs over Christmas & know its food & alch but mostly the latter! Still not drinking (for all of 2 days PMSL - how amazing is that, not!) and eating been OK today. I started rosemary conely online - its low GI so you dont get AS hungry and less faffy than the others - just healthy, low fat eating but without getting hungry! The site isnt as good as WW thought & harder to navigate & I've just emailed them about this! Dont know if it will make a difference...why dont you join me & we can do it tog? I need to loose at least 2 stone pref 3! Off to do my BT to egg who have kindly given me 0% until august!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Sea well done on the not drinking and smoking, you are doing great. I promised myself I was going to drink much less this year (shouldn't be too hard as I am legless after 3 glasses of wine), but I'm finding alcohol is sneaking back into my lifestyle - not every day, but just having a drink by habit when I'm not that bothered for one. So I'm thinking I might give it up for the rest of January....after today....:rotfl:
I just think, for me, it's easier to have none at all than just have a bit. How are you finding it? Have you been tempted or not really bothered?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
me too not had a drink since the 2nd jan ...i know i drink too much and i dont even really enjoy it (although i did on hogmany) ...well done on not having a cigarrette though with the school hassel i wouldve caved (if i smoked) it's amazing how though fifteen years ago there was not the same thoughts with kids at school no-one panicked ...goes to show you the big changes that are goin on in society doesnt it0

Hi thanks
I don't miss drinking as didn't really do it that much at home anyway! OH however says he's not missing it nor having any side effects from stopping, but I'm not sure I believe him. This is the longest he's gone in the entire 7 yrs I've known him!!!
I need to lose 2 stone ish. I will have a look at the RC site later - have signed up to the https://www.sparkpeople.com site too as it looks quite fun - will let you know how it goes!
Elantan - I was more concerned that she'd gone off home with someone (from school) and that I had no idea who and I had no numbers of other parents!! It didn't really occur to me that she could have been taken.
Have worked out that I've had over 3000 calories today - I neevr would have thought that!! Shows how bad my food choices are getting!
So I'm off again to search. Can you get RC online sub through quidco

Lets go for it girls! Not sure if you can do it through quidco - I am a bad DFW & didnt check! Just did & no you cant! Its still cheaper online though than a class I think! How you doig on it hypno? I now have a dilemma as my jeans were SOOOO tight that I may have to cave & get a bigger size but am a bit reluctant as determined not to put any on again but I have no bigger clothes now as had to chuck all my last years winter stuff out as it was falling off (size 22/24!!) last year!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
