So where do you find a job where you can do every little task a job wants before you have even started, what happened to learning on the job?
You've hit the nail on the head. Apart from some professional jobs (ie, barrister, solicitor, accountant, doctor), 99% of jobs DON'T require you to know how to do the job before you start it.
This is why all employers *train* their staff. You DON'T HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DO A JOB IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR IT.
However, you will need to have relevant skills.
For example, if you can't type, you wouldn't apply to become a PA/typist. If your brain isn't mathematically inclined, you probably wouldn't become a City Trader. If you would like to work as a supply chain manager, you might want to have a good head for logic.
Always question what others tell you - whoever has told you that you need to know every detail about a job before you start it (was it your parents by any chance? Or just as assumption) is wrong.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
I have found another job now to apply for involving doing the post, adding stuff to a database and taking cash to be banked at the bank. I would be able to do that if I get anywhere with it. So I am going to apply for that over the weekend.:beer:0

I thought it worked like that and you could learn on the job but it seems you have to be perfect or you have no hope of a job.:beer:0 -

Now, think about that statement.
How many people in the world are perfect? Zero.
How many people in the world do their jobs perfectly? Close to zero (what is perfection, anyway?)
How many people have jobs in the world? Lots!
So, you don't need to do your job perfectly in order to do your job. What you do need is initiative.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -

I see the truth in that, but it feels so disheartening when you don't get a job based on a very small thing it is so demotivating.:beer:0
