They won't expect you to know everything, but obviously if someone has more skills than you then they will choose them.
Just keep trying.
I think there will always be someone with more skills than me so I am probably always going to be just a maybe.:beer:0 -
It's not that hard.
However, do remember that the job you are looking for now is unlikely to be a long-term job. The bank job, for example, sounds like something you are way over-qualified for. So, if you do get it, you can then start looking for other jobs which are at your level. OR, you might find the bank increases your responsibility. I know people who've started doing menial jobs for companies, adn quickly risen to branch manager.
Good luck!Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -

It is not at a bank, but for a company and it involves doing the post and photocopying and ordering office supplies and then taking the cash to the bank every few days.
It is on two ticks disability too, so I should have a chance.:beer:0 -

Surely you could easily get a job in a Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Woolworths, WHsmith e.t.c for the time being until you find something more suitable. I always see them advertising for staff.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I do as I have more than 5 A-Cs GCSEs and I have the key skills it asks for.:beer:0 -

studentphil wrote: »So where do you find a job where you can do every little task a job wants before you have even started, what happened to learning on the job?
You don't need to tick all the boxes. You just need to tick more boxes than the next bloke.
I got my first job when I was still at school and my employer expected to train me from scratch because of my age. By the time I was your age I had 3-4 years of work experience. Any employer who takes on someone aged 21 or more will quite reasonably expect them to have a few years of work experience, even if it's just studenty holiday jobs. You are competing against people who have more work experience than you do, and it's up to you to figure out whose fault it is that you can't compete with your peers.
You need to set your sights a lot lower and take any job you can get and acquire job skills, but I'm the millionth person to say so and it hasn't sunk in yet!0 -
