don't lump us all in the same 'as daft as studentphil' bracket!! plenty of students work hard to cover all their costs themselves - and find his comments as annoying as everyone else!

I try just as hard as you do to have a good life.

I do understand the real world in that it costs a hell of a lot of money to live these days. You do need a lot of financial resources to even be able to afford rent or to buy a 120k flat.

You really have sunk to a new low now.

You also seem to have forgotten the mortgage-free house you'll inherit too.

No, I get sick of this idea that I do not get a job or get on in life because I do not try hard enough. I have battled all my life to be something and just for some reason at the moment I just can not get anywhere. It is not to do with the lack of trying on my part.

I might inherit a house in years to come, there again, it might go in caring for my parrents. I can not sit around for 20 years waiting for my parents to die to have a life can I?

Tell me how I don't try when I have fought for 3 years on a degree that I can not stand most of the time, I put up with controlling parents, I have overcome alsorts of physical and educational barriers to even get to university. I have tried and tried and tried all my life. But just because I am so mad and unhappy with myself for my career turning out as nothing to date I don't try. Well, I do try as much as I can.

I don't even want riches or power or wealth. All I want in life is just enough money to afford to live away from my parents in a half decent standard of living. And to be able to live a few of my hopes to go travelling to a few places especially to live my dream to go to Canada when it is the winter and all full of snow. And just a job that I enjoy.

It does not seem that much to hope for but at the moment it all seems so far away.

I dont have either a job or a career. All I have is a hell of a lot of frustrastion and rage at myself for being in this position.

What position are you in? When do you graduate? I didn't have a job until I finished Uni

I dont have either a job or a career. All I have is a hell of a lot of frustrastion and rage at myself for being in this position.

    what position?

    * you have money in the bank
    * a roof over your head
    * you've been supported through a degree
    * there is no pressure on you to get a job
    * no pressure on you to do anything, in fact, which means you do nothing but post inane drivel on here

if you've screwed up your degree, then you screwed it up. you could have changed courses, but you chose not to. you could have worked harder, you chose not to. you are still choosing to be fussy about jobs. you are still choosing to moan about how unfair life is.

life is what you make it, so stop blaming other people for YOUR CHOICES.

and so do most of the users of the Arms and DT because they are sick to death of listening to your tales of woe, again and again and that is why you are reduced to posting on this particular board.

Leave it to the people who actually need to help to find a job and who actually follow the helpful advice given.

Edited to add this was in answer to the "rage and frustration"
