I know I should wait a bit longer as you say but I am just getting really worried and upset now that the outcome is bad.Panda xx

I've previously worked in a library.. As an assistant.. while I was an undergrad student. Obviously didn't have a masters - hadn't even finished my BA. This was got through the local council - everyone did the same level job assistant or librarian.. the wage is fairly poor and it's hard work - it's really not all it's cracked up to be. It is easy to pick up at that level though.
Some unis sponsor you as a graduate traininee for the library masters - Manchester are recruiting for trainees this year. The Masters will allow you to work in respected reference libraries and university libraries - where there is a higher level needed than at a local council library.0 -
Also I know how horrible it is waiting for a response - I'm waiting for one too.. had an interview on Friday. I was told I will know by wednesday but probably tomorrow. It's all I can think about, but I've not been moaning about it and know the result will come when it comes.0

I will wait and see, it does make it hard to revise though because the stress and the worry puts me off.
I should just wait and see.
Meantime, Google up some alternatives, so you have a plan of action, if this falls through.

How f***ing rude. I'm "stuck" on less than 20K and have a perfectly decent, and more importantly, HAPPY life. How the hell do you know how much you'll need? You don't appear to ever have even been out in the real world. That was really offensive.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

I would suggest that if making lots of money is your goal, don't become a librarian.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0

It was not meant as rude, sorry if you think it is, I meant that on 20k I will never be able to afford a house considering they cost about 120k in this area. I am just thinking that in years to come am I really going to be able to afford a family when the cost of living is so high now.:beer:0 -

I do understand the real world in that it costs a hell of a lot of money to live these days. You do need a lot of financial resources to even be able to afford rent or to buy a 120k flat.:beer:0 -

don't lump us all in the same 'as daft as studentphil' bracket!! plenty of students work hard to cover all their costs themselves - and find his comments as annoying as everyone else!:happyhear0
