But I have no tv, therefor I pay no TV Tax. And yes I feel good.poppasmurf_bewdley wrote: »But until the law is changed, you can carry on being a parasite on everyone who does pay their TV licence. Hope it makes you feel good.0 -
The government is really missing a trick by not having the internet designated a "broadcast medium" and any PC with a modem or network interface designated as a "broadcast receiving device" and therefore requiring a Broadcast Receiving (AKA "Television") Licence.
How much do you think it would be worth?0 -

How is this parasitical? I would have thought it was like not paying Road Tax by only using a bike. Or is that parasitical, too?0 -

But you have a computer and watch TV on there.
So you, and anyone else who does it, may be abiding by the law as it stands at the moment, but still a parasite on all the people who do pay their TV licence.
And I for one do not for one moment believe anyone who says they only watch time shifted material on their computer and don't ever watch live TV."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
TV LicensingDon't forget, to watch TV online as it's being broadcast, you still need to be covered by a TV Licence.
Find out more at the TV Licensing website.

I don't have a TV but i have the internet. I don't see why i should pay for the BBC when i don't watch it or any of there shows.
I watch Broadcasts online from America and the internet which offers more worthwile TV shows and Films than the BBC. Don't see why i should pay for a service i have no intrest in.
PS I also ride a bicycle and don't pay road tax0 -

The reason is to comply with the law. You may choose to decide which laws you will and won't obey of course and one day with luck you will be caught and fined.0 -
No, I said I do not watch tv. Full stop. I may rent a film or listen to the radio, but tv, no.poppasmurf_bewdley wrote: »But you have a computer and watch TV on there.
