Gosh I'm really sorry to read your story. I wish I could help some way - sometimes we take too much for granted. I can't even offer you any advice other than the good advice given by other posters. You could maybe approach your childrens' school - I am sure they would direct you. Hope things improve.

It's school Easter holidays until Monday 15th April. School wouldn't help I'm sure.

Child benefit not due for fortnight and don't get child tax credits - the child element is still in the Income Support, so I don't have that.

are you 100% sure about that?! i only ask cos my estranged hubby is claiming IS for him and the kids atm (long story) and he gets IS, and then he gets CTC as well!

Today is the last day for crisis loans. They do operate an out of hours service on Saturdays and Sundays from police stations etc (as above). It may be too late now. There's no point going to the referral agencies on Tuesday because they are referral agencies for Crisis Loans only and only on weekends, and by Tuesday Crisis Loans will not exist anymore. So you have to go to them today, but it may be too late now.

If this is not the case then ring again Tuesday, ask for an escalation call, a manager will make sure your payment and call is sorted out within an hour.
You can't ask for an escalation call unless there has been a requested and failed standard call and priority call to begin with.

You can't ask for a priority call unless there has been a failed standard call.

The OP says she was promised payments but does not say if she was ever called back by payments dept.

A failed callback would mean that no call was received and no notes were entered. If no call was received but the notes are entered to the computer then you can only start with a standard call back. You should try phoning on Monday because Scotland does not have a bank holiday on Monday and you may get a Scottish call centre for IS to answer the call.

My advice try Monday 8am & Tuesday 8am and ask for a callback from payments do not accept the word of the first agent that you will be paid.

When I say I might have to nick some food by next week, I'm really not kidding!!!

    Please ring social services.

You are unable to provide for your children, please let someone else.

Since 6 April 2004, personal allowances and premiums for children have no longer been included in new IS claims or for anyone claiming CTC. Amounts for children are paid through CTC and child benefit instead. If you were getting IS with amounts for children included before 6 April 2004, your IS will continue to include these until you are transferred to or claim CTC.

You normally have to come of income support when your youngest child is 5.

If a payment has not gone out then the contact center would have to send a memo.
They cant do payments because they do not have access to 91 0n Legacy.
The OP said she has been promised twice a same day banking and had spoken to a manager Thursday.
They can trace memos and phone calls even when nothing is notified in the note pad , we just have to do a trace on hot
I think she has been very patient and in this case its not a memo, a priority duplicate but an Escalation, and this would be more then justified
    And even a complaint
If there is no reason to why the payment has not gone out,

Its easier to make a payment then get repeated memos believe me....
and the call centers may be bad but they know when a payment is due and hopefully wouldnt say, yes its on its way when its clearly not
