Mrs Toast - I feel your pain. Me in a fabric shop - budget carnage!
Me too! I've banned myself from random purchases of fabric. Only buy things for planned projects, and prefereably use what I've already got . . .
Which leads me to a little confession. I've been making an apron, and last night I ran out of thread and broke the needle on the machine (I'm sewing heavy duty canvas so I think it got bent a little and then ka-blam!) Which meant I spent part of my lunch hour in Hoobycraft. Death to the budget! :rotfl: Actually not that bad, thread, machine needles and snap clasps for my next project (since I'd broken a spend day).
And then while I was on the spending trip: some more herbal tea bags for work, some money to a friend who's putting together a hamper for friends who just had a baby, and some travel size contact lense solution for my trip to Ireland at the end of the month (hand luggage only)
But that's it. Now going to be hard line with myself and SFDs to the weekend and beyond if I can manage it.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Argh. Realised I forgot to buy bread yesterday, so ended up buying a few bits and spending a bit on myself out of my spend allowance. Totals:
Food: £17.50 (budgeted £20 per week)
Spends: £17.50 (budgeted (£20 per week)
Fuel: £25.00 (budgeted £50 per month)
Will make sure I get some SFDs in this week. Today - gym, check! Laundry, check! Chilling out, check!

Hello all,
Yesterday was a SFD.
Today I spent £5 in all - £2.10 at bakers, £1.50 at butchers and £1.30 of change for the savings pot. Just £7 left of this week's budget but shouldn't be any need to buy anything until the weekend. Planning to spend the day with bessie on Friday so may need bus fare for that though.0 -
A SFD day for me courtesy of the fact i havent been out of the house as i am poorly sick. Oh well, feeling a bit better now so i'm sure it'll be work again in the morning.
Having a day in has also meant watching daytime TV. I've fallen inlove with the little caravan from Ade in Britain. A quick google later and you could buy one for £8k! I want one, not that it's ever going to happen though. I want to get debt free, have kids and buy a bigger house. Not to mention neither me or the OH can tow on our licences as we're too young!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have been really bad at checking in on here. I have been looking after 2 poorly children with chicken pox. They are fortunately getting better now.
I have so far clocked up 5 SFDs plus another day where I only bought petrol, which I am very happy with. I still have £161 of petrol budget left, £143 for food but overspent by £64 on everything else!
Jody2MBNA credit card £3529.14
House extension loan £30238.90
Debt free date September 2016 but would really like to make it happen sooner!0 -
So.....i knew it wouldn't be a SFD but have a little confession. I bought some white goods today cos our microwave was beyond safe. It was a bargain buy off a friend brand new at quarter price. So i am happy that we've made our home safer and has been on the cards a while. This is coming out the food budget because i managed the food shop for 50 quid instead of budgetted 70. I have also withdrawn money ready for a spend day tomorrow so that even though we are going out there will be no more money spent than what is budgeted for.
I am a nightmare.....no more excuses. I WILL stay on track now. L2B.xLBM 2008 [STRIKE]£45,091.23[/STRIKE] eek: now £7889:T Debt free date 18/07/20180 -
Another spend day...for food which was budgetted, but also a year's membership to YHA which wasn't. However, worked out that the discounts it'll give me means it will pay for itself by July. Eek! Will try and be a bit better this week though!:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754
