    Hello all :)

Yesterday was a SD, but another NSD today .. relaxing whilst a butternut squash, lentil & spinach curry cooking away in the slow cooker - don't miss wasting money on take-aways too often now!

Although we spent yesterday we also closed down old, empty accounts including two previous credit cards, old student account, empty web savers so we just have our main accounts and ISAs ... really positive step, and actually made me really happy :) it is getting simpler and easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

    Afternoon everyone!

I've just caught up with everyone's posts over the last couple of days. PurpleJay, what an awful time you've had - sending you very best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yesterday's wedding was perfect, a really happy event and the cake stayed upright!! It was a pleasure to be able to do it and I still can't believe that I achieved it after flippantly saying I'd do it a year ago! So yesterday wasn't a SFD but it was a low spend one. We went bowling and to McDs with family who were up visiting this morning so no SFD today either.

Food and fuel still pretty low as we haven't done a bulk food shop (and will try to avoid doing so in April) and are away in caravan tomorrow til Friday so will take what food we can and top up whilst away.

Decluttering/ebay/letters are still work in progress but will get onto it when back from hols.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Good afternoon everyone  Hope you're all doing well.

Where's all this sunshine you speak of? It's still freezing!!! Carboot sale? Mayfair, you're tough :)

Good to see you back PurpleJay :) Hugs though for the tough time you've been having, sounds awful. Stay on the sidelines and get yourself fighting fit. Hope to have you back with us next month!

Hismissus, what mini oven did you buy? Was it one of those round halogen things that sits on the work top? They're fab!! My mum has one and it's so handy - I've toyed with the idea of getting one for myself but all non-essential spending is out for the time being so I shall continue with my slow big oven for now!

I finally managed to get a few SFDs under my belt :j Still living off last weeks food and have managed to avoid needing anything that I don't have. Tomorrow should be SFD as well.

I found 60p on the ground over the last few days and have a few items ending later on ebay so hopefully I'll be able to pay a little extra off the debt in the next few days :)

Keep up the good work everyone. The first week is over, are you on track?

So far, my monthly figure look like....
    SFD: 3/20
    Food: £47.86/£80
    Petrol: £20/£50
    Misc: £39.06/£100

Ahhh it was lovely out! We're in se London, coats on but was a beautiful morning xxx
  • Chalking today up as a SFD. Been going through my work expenses and I've been really shocked how all those small travel amounts do add up! Definitely going to be more vigilant on this in the future - I have realised that whilst I am generally good at sticking to my budget, one of the reasons why my debt racks up is because I feel bad about claiming back money from work or from family & friends. How stupid!!

Good grief, another spend day but a very low one, under £8 for tea and cupcakes with a dear friend. MeansIi will have to try really hard to meet target. budgets still ok. hope everyone is ready for week 2, good luck all. Hope Kat is pleased with her little chickadees when she gets back from her well-desreved holidays.
