I'm 32 and earn 15.5 basic but my wage slip says the end of year figure with unsocial hours payments is 17,173. This is quite low as I was off sick from June to October last year and then was only on part weeks until January so it would normally be higher.
This is the highest paid job I have ever had... I was in education for quite a long time and I always thought a monthly salary of 1k was a mythical figure that I would never seeI earned about 14k briefly about 6 years ago but that was it, I've only ever worked in retail and call centre but now I work for the NHS. OH is 42 and earns 21k.

Would be really interesting if people posted what their jobs are also and how they got into that line of work and more importantly if they actually enjoy their jobs.
I am trying to work out what sort of career path I could go down at the age of 32 and looking for a new direction but am currently job hunting without any success I might add despite the guts of a decade working in the areas of administration, office and facilities management, the racing industry and customer service based roles most recently.0 -
I work within a call centre for a utilities provider and I earn around £7.5k per annum:money:
I don't mind my job but it has always been my dream to work in a travel agent but I have been knocked back so many times when applying over the last few years - despite having a related degree and years of experience of being a holiday rep :-(:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -

IT systems admin. Always had an interest in computing and started in the standard "IT Support" type role then progressed within the company.
Enjoy my job very much. I work on mostly large scale projects with overseas colleagues. No more answering the phone with "Have you tried turning it off and on again?".0 -

Roughly between 14k + 15k per annum depending on how many hours I work. I'm 21 and work as a waitress.. I hate it but am lucky to have moved 120 miles from home and find a job so quickly.
