Im 44, my income varies, Im self employed, but around £5000 or so.
Ive worked in jobs where Ive earned 5 times as much and been thoroughly miserable, so the lack of income doesnt bother me that much.

    Starting work at 22 - £3500 pa
    At 28 - £9000 pa
    At 32 - NZ$ 56000 pa (at the time, around £20000)
At 40 - contract rate £330 per day
    At 48 - c£36000 pa
Now, at 54, after a career change - £27K when working full time

I'd say £30K at 27 is not bad, some will be earning more (and a few a great deal more) but a lot will be earning less.

25 - between 15k and 16k a year, I work contracts, so not always in work. I'm also based in London. But if I were to work all the time at my current rate, it'll be more like 18-20k I'd earn. I'm hoping I move up the career ladder this year, instead of being stuck on the bottom rung!

I'm 43 next week. As I'm currently ill, I work whatever hours I feel able to from home at £35 per hour.

    Previous to that, I earned

£8500 as an Admin Officer in a Job centre
£11,000 as a trainee software engineer
£26,000 after payrise to a senior software engineer
    £35,000 after switching companies
£110,000 after starting my own company
£benefits after losing my company and getting sectioned
    £30,000 as a project manager
    £40,000 as an iPhone developer
£45 per hour as a full time contract iPhone developer
£55,000 as a permanent iPhone developer

    I am 29 (30 later this year).

I am a qualified Teacher, not working as one.

    I work in outreach.

I earn just under £12000 per year, for 29 hours (4 days) per week, 39 weeks per year (paid only for the weeks I work plus 5.6 weeks holiday, so 44.6 weeks a year).

The FTE of my salary is about £17000.

I am a mum of one toddler (newly ish single), so I don't work in jobs that pay up to my earning potential. I have had previous employment earning 20+ thousand per year (pro rata if part time) and now that I need to work full time again because I am single and struggling in a mortgaged house, the jobs I am applying for have salaries anything from 15k to 26k and range from term time only to all year hours. The salary often depends on whether private company or LG. I currently work in LG.
