23 - About to go to 36k pa. Work about 37 hours a week.

To make 'real' money, running your own business is the only way. I am in the process of launching my 'no effort' business but truthfully that will not be a money maker, more something done for fun.

After passing my final CIMA exam in May, i hope i will gain enough confidence and experience to launch my own Financial Consultancy type company, but that is but a dream at the moment.

I'm 24 and earn around £9000 per annum. I only work 18 hours a week so I can't complain. OH is 26, works FT in the same company and is on £18000 per annum (I get an unsocial hours increment)

Currently studying to be a solicitor and if I get to where I want to be (within same company) I will hopefully be on around £50000 per annum in my early 30's. Better start networking now lol.:rotfl:

    30/£24.5k which includes bonus/overtime 2012/13.

Fingers crossed for 3-5k increase for this year IF I get this new job.

I think it's important to be earning enough your happy with and provides a life that is comfortable for you.
    Bad luck breeds bad luck.

    Damn I'm doomed.

Agree that for the majority making real money requires your own business. I changed career at aroun 21 leaving an £18k job for a £12k trainee post.
Left there at around 25 on around £18k to start my own business.
First few years earning around £15 - £20k will probably do £30k this year. Wit developments next year should be £60k, then developments should see a £10 - £20k increase per year.
    Running challenge 2014 = 689k / 800k
