Just out of interest how old are you and how much do you get paid?

I work in Local Government earning just shy of £24000, I'm 32.

I don't particularly enjoy my job, it pays the bills, but I like the people I work with. I would look for another job, but its very close to home, about 10 minutes on the bus, and there are some decent perks (31 days annual leave, flexi etc).

Earn £25k a year, £28k bonus for last financial year. 22 years old.

I'm an HCA on a dementia care ward in a small NHS hospital. Hoping to go back to uni in September to train to be a Mental Health nurse. I love my job but I dont love the politics that go with it!!! (ie all this kerfuffle thats been going off lately due to Mid Staffs/the Francis report etc)

31 years old, self employed, income fluctuates between 12k PA - 23k PA. Lower end if I take months off due to depression, higher end if I put my back into it.

I'm 35 and earn £28,500 per annum (work as a PA in a school)

My hubbie is 34 and earns around £65,000 per annum (recruiter)

I'm 26 and on 16k. Not an awful wage but not great either compared to some of the others of a similar age.

Emma I know how you feel I have previously spent 10 years working for the NHS as a care assistant and after 10 years service I was still only earning 18k per year.
