39k + 3k bonus (give or take) with 8% into my pension pot, which I have to match to get my 8% paid by them (which I do).
I'm 28.
I'm a lead software engineer in a very, very niche specialism - I won't delve into details - as there's only a couple of companies that do/research our specialism in the UK, so no point making it too obvious to out myself
I'm due for a pay rise in July, and I'm hoping it's a big one, because I'm currently significantly underpaid relative to the market rate (and from what I suspect, relative to colleagues with less responsibility than me). By this I'm guessing around ~10k or £15k.
It sounds a lot, but I've two degrees directly related to my specialism, professional qualifications, manage other people, have a high level of responsibility/stress, and have to work overtime (sometimes all-nighters) at virtually no notice.
Having said that, I genuinely love what I do, and my team are all equally enthusiastic - the stuff we do only attracts those who are really in it for the long haul. Put it this way - of my 4 direct reports, three of them have personal side projects on the go which relate to their day job. The fourth is taking a break from his. :rotfl:0 -

32, last year I earned 34.5k but I did a LOT of overtime. I'm a northern monkey in a deprived area though, so that's relatively quite a lot amongst my peers.0 -
