Happy cold and windy thursday everyone. Had a day off yesterday to go out with the kids, but the day before gave the kitchen a good clean - so nice to open clean and tidy cupboards. Still got the oven to do though
May do the downstairs cloakroom and hallway today, but im not feeling too good so will see. Then its just the living room to do!£2 Savers club £0/£150

Doing well today so far.
Have cleaned all the wooden floors, scrubbed the skirtings (mucky dog), washed down the hall walls, cleaned the inside of the front door, given the downstairs loo a good going over including walls, skirtings, floor and sink and toilet and am just about to strip the spare room bed and take the curtains down and get them in the wash then ready for giving away/selling (redecorating).
Must say that its all looking really clean smells lovely.
Next its the two upstairs bathrooms - tiles here I come!
Am knackered already!0 -
Got loads done today, even managed a trip to the charity shop to drop some bits off.
Jobs for tomorrow....- Clean insides of upstairs windows
- Clean wooden blinds
- Wipe out kitchen cupboards
- Bleach kitchen bin
- Clean inside of kitchen window
- Tidy out bathroom cabinet
- Sort kitchen drawers
A house clearance man is also coming to have a look at the bedroom furniture tomorrow, will hopefully take it away for some dosh:j0 -
My new vacuum cleaner finally arrived today, after the delivery man gave the quietest knock ever! This means that I have been able to vac the sofa and chair in the lounge, vac the stairs and tidy and vac the bedroom. I still need to take down and wash the curtains though. OH was supposed to be taking down the lounge curtains but I think he has forgotten.0

We have just gutted 3 bedrooms, redecorated and bought new furniture for the children. The children's bedrooms now look fantastic, mine looks like a jumble sale. I have lots of clothes and not a lot of storage. Well, that's a lie, I have lots of storage but all my clothes won't fit in there
I definitely need to have a sort out and then make my way down the stairs decorating the rest of the house.0 -
I wasn't going to....but I should if we are going to put our house up for sale soon. Nothing ever stays nice though so I get annoyed at keep doing it.Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Well, apart from a bit of decluttering, not a lot has been done so far and is unlikely to get done this weekend. Definitely up for it next week though!

Have continued spring cleaning and done all of the upstairs windows, the wooden blinds, bleached the kitchen bin and done the window and tidied the drawers, emptied the spare room of stuff ready for decorating and done two loads of washing (towels and throws and snuggle fleeces for when watching telly).
Also tidied out the bathroom cabinet and medicine box and chucked everything that was out of date or looking a bit sorry for itself.
Ready for a rest now.0 -
Hello
I have made a very good start on another big frog, Spring clean of lounge, starting with very large bay window. Taking a chance with washing the curtains as they are a good few years old now. Let's hope they're not an inch shorter afterwards. So curtains down, they are heavy cotton and lined, so good work out for me. One at a time soaked in the bath in some Milton solution as bit of mildew here and there on linings. Gave them a good pounding with my feet, jeans rolled up, not quite as glamorous as pressing grapes, but fun and I have sterilised feet now :rotfl:. First curtain has now been through 30 degree wash, twice, with some vanish and stardrops applied to remaining mildew, which is pretty much all gone, draped over clothes horse until I can get on line in morning. Second curtain going through first wash now. Net also down and washed/dried. Net pole and curtain rail all down, washed and back up. Window frames and windows all washed (inside, it's a bit dark outside), sill cleaned, net back up. Large curved radiator under window scrubbed with cream cleaner. I started all this at 9.30pm, hence my late night reporting. Great to make a start on the room though. I can't believe how dirty it all was when I looked close , clearly a quick hoover and dust will not suffice. I think I will sleep well, am exhausted!
Night to anyone still up x

Guineapig - 2.30am - thats commitment to the springcleaning cause!:rotfl:
Going to have a slightly more relaxed day with the cleaning today - have cleaned myself to a standstill! The only big job left is to clean the inside of the conservatory roof and the conservatory itself. Its a lovely day so I can have all the windows open to air it all out too.
The spare room is now almost ready for painting - the house clearance man is picking up the furniture this afternoon. That really is the last job - everything is now sparkly clean and sorted (apart from my wardrobe which is enough to make anyone run in the opposite direction)
Its been a flipping hard week but its all worth it - I don't think I've ever worked so hard!
ETA - conservatory done!!:j:j Thats all the hard cleaning done now. Just the painting to go :eek:0
