well I was right the cable I just bought http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SERIAL-DATA-CABLE-FOR-NOKIA-6610-7210-7250i-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ180121262416QQihZ008QQcategoryZ20366QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem is not working.. now same seller has a dku 5 serial version.. I wonder if that would work? or can someone point me to a cable that will defo work?

The dku 5 from qfonic didnt work either, although original it has 6 pins and I think there are two variations of the original dku 5's ones with a full pin set and ones with 6 (which don't work!).

Paid £7.00 for mine at a market....would have bought off ebay but had the easier option of taking it back the same day if it didn't work...and as the chap was using the same cable to unlock for the obscene price of £15.00 I decided to go for it...more expensive than the £4.00 I would have paid on ebay but I should get that back quite easily as I sometime unlock phones...far easier than the 3210 days of dismantling and shorting pins on the chip :O

The one shown in drahcir's post looks to be the same box picture to the one I purchased...and the same as the one I gave the ebay number for in an earlier post :)

As an add on... debranded my N70 and a 6630 yesterday using info from gaming_guy's post, for the 6630 I just did a google search for "6630 product codes" to get a generic code but used the same info to change it as in the post by gaming_guy.

Phones were originally on "3" which hid the option to chose just the GSM network, once firmware flashed they now give the duel mode or GSM option. For anyone with an older phone looking to sell on ebay or elsewhere debranding and unlocking will give a premium price than selling just unlocked :)
