    Talked about it last night and I have offered to go all day and have a day together on our own and then onto the party. Not sure if I have done the right thing, marraige more important than cricket!!

  • Also I think I have been too negative recently so will be positive from now on, cant do anymore, what will be will be, need to face reality and move on if it doesnt work

    thats the attitude sw welldone! Know how big a sacrifice cricket is also (OH is a nut and will not miss a day come hell or high water drives me bonkers!) so she must know you are making quite a big sacrifice for her. Good luck to you. xx

    I feel that although she was the one who put your marriage in jeopardy it's you who are making all the sacrifices now. She should be doing more to try to keep YOU rather than the other way round. Good grief, southwester, you've already done more than most men would have done. Women don't find 'doormats' particularly attractive.

    Sorry to be blunt here and the last thing I want is to upset you as I've followed your diary from day 1 and have been willing you to succeed every step of the way.

    I don't think you're a doormat - attractive or not! I think you're just trying to make things work.

    I think it's a good thing to do. As long as it's clear it's a one off and you intend to spend the time together I think it's a helpful thing to do. Hope you have a lovely time.
