  • Well, wife rang me today, to say she might have to go to London for a course for 2 days at the end of August and can I get a couple of days off to go as a family and meet up with her in the evenings. She has never thought of this before, I suppose it shows she is thinking of me, and told me last night that I want it ot all get better too quickly, she will need time to hopefully find that missing ingredient!

Its seems to me things are finally looking up for you both:T about time too.

Go for it the missing ingredient will come back once the guilt starts to go.

    good luck x

I hope your right about the guilt thing chunky, I think this is a major problem for her and she doesnt want to talk about the past at all, which I am trying not to do.

Lots of cuddles but not pushing anything

Thats the way to do it.

One of my very best friends was in exactly the same situation as you both are, tbh i panicked when i read your thread for the first time as i thought you may be her husband. Her relationship was/is exactly what you say yours was but now she is starting to feel less guilty things are certainly on the up and that spark seems to be coming back now she wants cuddles and feel like she deserves them before she felt like she should be shown affection because of the horrid thing she had done. The ultimate betrayal to marriage (thats how she put it). Life is now moving forward for them. It has been a hard slog and no one knows only me so its been hard for me to see my most 2 favourite people go to hell and back.

Im amazed how many people in some form or other have been through this and whatever happens I am over the darkest days I think (which were the days immediately after i found out) . Im trying to cross each bridge as it appears and taking one day at a time, Its hard because we all wish this had never happened but on the other hand it has brought everything to a head and if it does go bad, then I know we have given it our best shot, being patient isnt easy as I am a typical man and want it all to be better.
