Wishing you both all the best SW and hoping that everything works out as you want it to. We all make mistakes, some of them hurt the ones we love the most, but the secret of a great relationship is one where both parties are determined to put all their effort in to making their relationship work, the trust will come again - I'm not sure when but it will and you have a solid ground - your love for each other and your son- which is all you can really ask for.
I truly hope that you will both be happy and fnd again what you may have mislaid, over time. Somthing may be missing at the moment but with hard work, support and love, you will find it will reappear.
Please keep posting - we are all here for a shoulder to cry on, have a rant at, moan about lifes up and downs and of course there is the debt side of it :rotfl:0 -

I don't post a lot on here but your thread really touched my heart. For what it's worth I think this 'fancying' business is less of a problem than you think. It isn't all about looks, it is much more than that.
Look at some of the people that have been held up as sex symbols. Yes - there are the obvious ones (good looking actors) but in my opinion this is more about fantasy than fancying. Ask a women about sex appeal and that certain 'something' and what reply do you get - Alan Tichmarsh!!!!
There is more to fancying someone than looks - it is also about confidence, a sense of humour, taking control once in a while, letting her take control once in a while, showing that you are at ease with yourself and others, demonstrating your capabilities and self esteem.
These are all things you can work on.
Hope it works out.0 -
Best of luck. I actually think you'll make it. You hit rock bottom but you both want to change things. The affair will never be easy to deal with but don't make it more important than it really was. She soon finished it when confronted didn't she? Sometimes people need something like that to happen to be able bring things to a head and to work at making it better.

Well talked some more last night, I realised I need to curb my jealous streak, not going to be easy and she needs to show me more affection.
Then found out that my second job which I have been doing since I told her about my debts is kapputt!!! New people taken over and dont need somebody to clean the petrol pumps!!!
Ouch

Hi Southwester,
I have been reading your thread since it began and posted a few replies myself but I just wanted to post one more time to tell you that I really admire you and how you have handled this situation. You are making a real go of things, some people are too quick to throw in the towel and not fight for what they want because they're ashamed or embarrassed etc it just proves to you, all of us and most certainly I am sure your OH that you mean what you say and do. It's a real credit to you and the person you are. Don't you forget it!!
I wish you both the very best of luck and hope that it all works out for you and your family xx0 -
Many thanks sorting it, very kind words.....
Lets hope it all turns out well down the long road we are going down

Hi SW, good to hear that you and Mrs SW are going to give it a go. I wish you the best of luck - you obviously love each other, and that is a good place to start.
Bad news about the second job, I am sure something else will come up for you. Until then, consider this a good thing as it will allow you to spend a little more time with you wife and work on your marriage.
More hugs for you!Pennies make pounds.
