Hey Sw,
pleased to see you seem to starting to think a little straighter and that the initial shock is starting to settle.

I'm really impressed at how you are handling this situation, many a lesser man would have just packed his bags (or Hers) and run as fast as his legs would carry him.

You should be proud of yourself as to how you are actively considering everyones feelings and needs and not taking a huge hissy fit.

i hope your wife realises what a gem you are, and tries her hardest to put things back on track.

Just had a quick scan though to pick up on the thread as this is my very first post. My wife has encouraged me to register so i can share my expereince with you. As it was her who had an affair which I discovered in feb 06 (she took money out of our bank account in Brixham when she told be she would be Wakefield!) From what i can see all the feelings you have wanting to hug, not wanting to loose her wanting to keep going are all the same feelings I had. fortuantly, we worked it out and still are. Many people gave advice, but the one which sticks in my my mind most is, follow your heart. Friends thought I was mad, but I could not do anything else. Other things, don't be afraid to take time off work. Taking work out of the equation, one less thing to think about really helps. Spend time with friends drinking tea or beer or eating their food - that helps too. Also phone people

Really struggled with this i love you but not in love with you thing, which she kept telling me - still not sure I really understand

but what i do know is taking one day or one hour at a time is the only way to do it. Thinking about the big picture is to big to comprehend.

You are doing right by excercising - I kept running as much as I could. For the excercise but also it got me out of the house, everthing that was in there was us so many reminders. Did not know what was going to happen.

We kept up the communication. We were seperated for a year ad it it wa s while we were apart that i found out about the affair. she was living in a place paid for by him. Just wanted to trash the place.

Keep going it seems end less but there is light at the end of the tunnel

That sounds exactly like my situation and fortunately I am following my heart and do want her, still feel angry and disgusted at what has been done (images and all that). We are giving it a go but she seems very unlikely to get that attracted to me feeling back I think, I will try like hell but she cant even kiss me at the moment!

Oh SW, huge hug sent your way! Don't know what to say, my heart breaks for how you must be feeling - I know she's being honest about the attracted to you thing but I'm angry about how she is treating you and making you feel. I know its still early days but it all seems to be about her and what she wants/feels perhaps now is the time to look deep in your heart and discover what YOU want!! Perhaps nows the time to be SELFISH!!
