    Hi Sw,

Just found your thread and wanted to (belatedly, but better late than never) send you a big hug and all my Love.

reading thru your thread has brought tears to my eyes, as I can see a wonderful caring Human being who is really going through the mincer at the minute, for no fault of oyur own and for reasons you may never understand.

I wanted you to know that you are stronger than you think and that as long as you have your son to look at and remind you how life goes on you will be fine.

I know its not easy when your partners decides they dont love you (or at least think they dont !) my husband left me when our daughter was 4 weeks old, totally out of the blue. I onestly thought my life was over, but now i can see it happened for a reason and that I am a stonger more confident person than i would ever have been with him around. Just could nt see it at the time lol

Give yourselves a chance to be yourselves not what you believe or thinnk the other person wants and it will all play itself out.

One thing to be sure of is to have faith in yourself and the lovely person you obviously are.

Keep your chin up cos that way its easier to rise above it all and see whats really happening..........you only ever see sh*&t when you have your head down :)

    Love & Hugs D x

Just have to say about food. I lost a stone in 2 weeks last year after my boyfriend who I absolutely adored and thought was the one dumped me. Your appetite will come back - slowly. Don't try to force food down because you may be sick. Just try to eat little and often and don't worry too much about how 'healthy' it is. At this stage just getting anything down is a bonus - though should probably say that a solid McDonald's and chocolate diet aint the best ;-)

Best of luck with it all.

Its hard to know what would be the right way to go. I like the idea of a date, and you are going to relate, both are good steps in the right direction. Can you get a babysitter one night. Tell/ask  ya missus to get ready and meet you in town, take her for a meal and maybe a night at a B&B:p

Watch a chick flick us girls love it really. Bottle of wine, box of chocolates lights down low and snuggle up. One meaningful cuddle is a step in the right direction.
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?

Hi Southwester. Have just read through your post and really feel for you, Loosing someone you love in anyway shape or form through death or a relationship breakdown is heart rending and i can only offer all the love and support in the world.

One thing that concerns me though.... throughout your post you refer to people noticing that there is something wrong by you crying or people noticing that you have lost weight.
Please please please don't be ashamed by what has happened to you or try to hide it. you are showing amazing courage and strength by lifting yourself up and taking the steps you have, hell in your first post you didn't know how to go on and now you're doing so well!
Is there anyone that you are close to that knows both you and your wife that you can confide in?

all of us here can make you a virtual cup of tea, give you a hug and a listening ear but please do not hide what has happened from those close to you and most of all don't be ashamed of it!!

i'm glad you found these boards, i've just returned after 6 months away and the people here are full of support as you've found out.

Hang on in there sweetness, big big hugs to you

I think you need to let those close to you in on whats going on hon. I think you'll be amazed at the support you are offered.
You are such a selfless person that you would rather carry the burden yourself than load those dear to you with it. but confiding in one person who can give you an impartial view that maybe you can't see right now may help you wonders.
what has happened is absolutely no reflection on you as a person, or on your masculinity or personality. Only your wife knows why she did what she did. please don't think of reasons why it happened that put you down. i've learnt through experience that you can be everything you think someone wants you to be and this can still happen. that is down to the individual person, not you.

Re the running, Just getting back into it myself and finding it hard!, off out in a second, 3 miles round the block, fancy joining me? ;-)
