    Hi everyone,
@bevally, so that I can take a look into your claims individually and advise further, could you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk? I would be happy to see if there is anything that I am able to do to be of assistance with these.

I hope that you all enjoy the weekend!

    Best wishes,
    Samantha

Have sent email - will be interesting to see what the response is.

    Hi Cell,

No worries, a click is recorded as soon as you click through to the merchant even if a purchase is not made, it is a reference in case you do need to lodge a claim.

The claims process itself can be quite long-winded due to the channels that need to be followed and we do ask that members allow around 12 weeks for a resolution form the date that this is submitted to the network. It is the same process for all types of claims, incorrect, untracked and declined. The nudging system is designed to help us to indicate what areas need our attention, but if you feel that your claim has passed the 12 week estimate from the submitted date you can always post a message to your claim thread and a member of our Claims Team will be able to get back to you within a few days with an update.

I would still suggest ensuring that you clear your cookies prior to each visit but if there is a merchant that this is occurring for on every purchase, could you get in touch with us on a support ticket so that we can look into this?

    Many thanks,
    Samantha

Four months and five nudges on one, two months and a couple of nudges on another.

Nothing to do with cookies. Others have tracked fine and are payable.

Accor Hotels and Thomas Cook. I presume that you will know in an instant whether they honour their cashback promises better than I do.

Even if there was a cookie problem...four months? Five nudges? Nothing from you at all. Blaming cookies is the easy way out.
  • My Sky cashback has now reached payable just in time too as off on my hols next week lol.
Still concerned about Direct line i don't know if to just write this off now as it's been 16 months obviously i'm with another insurance company now.

    I've been Money Tipped!
@B_M, I am sorry to hear that you feel this is case, I can assure you that we are working to improve the forum for our members. As I mentioned, I cannot say exactly when this will be back up again but hopefully, it is not too much longer.
Lets put it down to experience and knowing how tcb currently work (or don't).
Improve the forum? Simple, put it back to how it originally was. Members helped each other trying to resolve the tcb woes and offer advice on how to get the cash back tcb couldn't.
Tcb first decided to make the 'grumbles and gripes' invisible, so only members logged in could view (innocent new potential members couldn't view all the issues before becoming a victim themselves).
Then tcb took away the 'grumbles and gripes', more than likely because it was damaging their income. Then they took away the forum!
It doesn't take around 2 weeks to perform 'maintenance', MSE is a massive site and their forum has 'maintenance' performed in hours. Unless of course you've passed on the maintenance contract to 'Bodgit and Sons'.
I'm looking forward to the new improved tcb forum (I'm betting without the 'grumbles and gripes'). Bring it on. ;)

@Cell (and anyone else having so called 'cookie' issues), try imutual (free to join) and test their tracking. Try a few of the daily clicks and don't clear cookies and see the results. In fact, try a few clicks, make a cuppa and see if you can make that cuppa before the transactions track.
    http://www.imutual.co.uk/
    or the clicks
    http://www.imutual.co.uk/daily-clicks (try the cuppa challenge).
It costs absolutely nothing to try and you might be pleasantly surprised.
You don't have to ditch tcb or Quidco etc, but add it as another option and some of the rates actually beat the 2 big boys.
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

You're crazy if you do write it off.
At least pass it on to the FOS and relieve DL of £550 (and some work).

Good idea mate think i'll do this.
I recently got trading standards to force E2save to pay me all monies i paid for a contract and arrange to pay the network the remaining contract costs too for not paying cashback they promised.
Trading standards and other organisations are starting to clamp down on companies using cashback sites to fraudantly gain custom.

Totally agree with all this woe about TCB.

Have used Quidco with no fuss for years. Stupidly signed up to TCB this year. Had 3 transactions, of which 2 tracked at totally the wrong amount (lower obviously). 1 was eventually sorted. 1 is turning into a total joke.

Ordered a phone from O2 in April, was promised 157.50 in cashback. Tracked fine and then inexplicably changed to 147.00. Put in a claim for the difference, and the 10.50 was confirmed and then...........the 147 disappeared.

Four months on, nothing resolved, false promises and lies by support tickets, promises to investigate by samantha with no reply, forum gone down, and just stupid messages saying that they are investigating. despite the website STILL claiming that o2 purchases go to payable in 2 weeks and 6 days.

Going to complain to the ombudsman and dont give a monkey's if it costs them 550.

I can confirm that this is the most idiotic and useless website I have used since i started using the internet in the mid 90s.

Anyone thinking of joining - Dont. i guarantee that they will rip you off, and you WILL regret it. If you would like to use cashback, try Quidco. You have been warned.

    Morning everyone,

@sarah1972, thank your for your feedback, I am glad that you are enjoying using the site :) We are always more than happy to be of assistance.

@bevally, thank you for your email :)I can confirm that I have received this and I will be sure to respond before the end of the day.

@Cell, I am afraid that we have no advance notice as to whether cashback will be declined or not, it is ultimately the retailer who makes this decision. Once a claim is in place, we are reliant on the merchant providing a resolution to this and sometimes, it can take longer for this to be received than estimated. Tracking is based on cookies and this is done via the affiliate marketing network, we do not use this as an excuse I can assure you, but this is usually the cause of an untracked transaction. You can always post a message to your claim if you would like some further information, we do not respond to nudges, these are only to indicate the areas that need our attention.

@legendkiller2k8, I am glad to hear that this has now progressed to payable for you! I hope that you have a great holiday and I hope that we can get your Direct Line transaction resolved for you soon also.

@B_M, thank you for your feedback. I am not able to say exactly what is being done as I do not know at this stage, but I hope that it is up and running for you soon.

@apple111 , I have been in constant contact with the network regarding this and please be assured that just because the forum is not currently up, this does not mean that I not investigating this for you. I am not always able to provide regular updates as I do not always have any new information to provide, but I can confirm that after some chasing today, this has now been resolved for you and you should see your claim updated shortly. I hope that this is of help!

Enjoy the rest of your week,
    Samantha

  • I've logged in to my account to see if there was any change with my missing cashback claim from the other month, there wasn't.

Is there actually anything pro-active I can do? Or will I become as bitter and twisted as some of the posters on here?! :rotfl:

Is there any sort of honest update our TCB rep can offer? Something that doesn't sound like a fob off.
