    Hi

I have been having real problems with TCB lately.

I purchased RAC breakdown cover at the end of March, and this shows in my history, but nothing has tracked. It was for a significant sum that I probably wouldn't have spent otherwise but apparently they track over 99.7% of the time!

After hearing nothing I chased at the beginning of June. Again I've heard no further updates so I checked today and my claim has completely disappeared from the system with no record left, and it now says that since 100 days has passed there's no way to lodge a new claim?!

    What is going on?

It might just be a run of bad luck, but I had virtually no problems for years, but now transactions are failing to track far more regularly.

Interflora, Debenhams Flowers, Thomas Cook and Accor Hotels have failed to track in the past few months. TCB sorted the first two out for me, but the latter two are in limbo.

It's not as if I've changed anything about the way I use the site, and it may genuinely just be unfortunate. However it does make me start to think whether it might be worth looking elsewhere, as reliability of tracking and payment are central to what TCB do.

    I could not agree more.
You are not alone and even when things go right with tracking, it's a nightmare trying to actually get the cash! Very few come through in what could be considered a reasonable time now and the tcb stats are a complete joke. Not as funny as the merchants rating though, they are a classic!

If you haven't try imutual yet, give them a try.
Some of the rates actually beat tcb and quidco and tracking is first class.

But it's pointless having top rates anyway, if it's hard work getting the cash!
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

Thanks I will look at imutual never heard of them until now, to be fair I've had my gala bingo and times subscription cashbacks paid out by topcashback both in shorter time than expected though both were highly publicised. I've also seen on threads about O2 refresh people saying they got £121 cashback from topcashback no problem and I'm still months and month later waiting for £80 because I used quidco. It is frustrating though.

@pinkcalculator, nice to hear some have been paid in a reasonable time.
Tcb and financial merchants are that bad, it's actually unbelievable.
I had a Times offer (total mess up though) which was honoured and paid quickly, but I have 9p from Tesco sitting and waiting from August 2013 and a claim that was sent off 10 months ago waiting for merchant! Birthday time soon. lol
I have one final financial purchase due in around 2 months and that's it (apart from little bits). I know know that I'll have to go to the merchant (AA). It's promoted as 30-60 days (unless other stats, which there are none). We'll see.
Expect transactions for this retailer to appear the following day, but can be a few weeks in some cases. Transactions are usually confirmed within a month. They should become payable 30 - 60 days after the event date, unless otherwise indicated on the Avg Payment Speed statistics above. Recurrences may be limited.

Sounds like we both saw the same times offer, bit of a mess lol but it was a nice return on an eventual 0 spend.
Reminded me I must chase up quidco for our car insurance one, the insurance and car breakdown ones always seem to be a long old wait, we did topcashback last year and it did eventually come, all good thing come to those they wait and all that ..... Just think what you've got to come must be a cartfull of money I hope :rotfl:

@pinkcalculator, believe it or not but that 9p from August '13 has gone to payable today.
Tesco must be looking in. ;)

I have had a claim declined due to using a discount code (merchant promoted), so I'm actually down.
Not to worry, no more ebookers as without codes they are far too expensive.

    Hi there,

@retepetsir, this sounds like your transaction may have gone on to be declined. I would be happy to look into getting the 100 day limit overridden for you, could you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk with a few details of your transaction?

@cell, when this occurs, we do find that is usually down to your cookies needing clearing. If you do find though that there are certain merchants in which it is more of a regular occurrence, please do contact us on a support ticket and we can look into these in further detail for you :)

    Best wishes,
    Samantha
