Easy to get your money from the financials (Green Flag and More Than), just register a mis-selling complaint. Mis-selling due to non-payment of promoted cashback for purchasing a product.
I have a complaint in with More Than myself now and have actually received an acknowledgement letter today, They have until the 18th March to resolve, or it will go to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)
For Green Flag, try U K Insurance Limited for your complaint.
If your Kwik Fit was for a financial product, take them on too.
TCB have gone hill enormously, but much longer than 6 months! You really need to concentrate on getting the cashback yourself now and TCB are very naughty with their promotions. What you see and what you receive differ massively!

Imutual is worth a look, but worth registering with many cashback sites to be fair. Imitual often beat TCB and Quidco and have that important 'Cashback Guarantee'. Not on all offers, but look for that white tick in the yellow circle. See the difference too with 'customer care'. ;)
    Good luck.

Thanks B_M. I've had a different response from TCB for Green Flag:
"Regrettably, as the retailer is now no longer in a working relationship with their previous affiliate marketing agency, as a result, I'm afraid there is nothing further we can do to dispute this further for you."
In other words, though no fault of the customer, the situation between a retailer and their "marketing agency" has changed AFTER you have made your purchase, so in their world, you miss out.

I now echo the call of a previous correspondent - it's time this cashback practice was REGULATED. From the outset, either you qualify for cashback and are protected, or you are not.

    Yes, that's TCB for you.
I'm afraid there's something they (TCB) could have done and that's to advise you to complain direct.
There's another thing TCB could have done, they could have applied their 'fair play policy'.

    https://www.topcashback.co.uk/about?cat=FairPlay

TCB also have a 'mission statement' if you want to read and see where and how the 'fair play policy' should apply.

    https://www.topcashback.co.uk/about?cat=Mission

Personally, I'd just go direct with a claim and claim compensation.

Best wishes, but for future see if there's a cashback that has a guarantee.
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.
  • Hello All,

    Advice needed please!

Used TCB whilst booking a series of hotel stays (Hotel.com).

Only one of the four visits registered on my account (funnily enough it was the cheapest one as well!!!)

I have tried to raise a ticket, however they have very unhelpfully said 'Can't do anything about it' as they are saying that they do not have the clicks registered, yet when I booked the hotel stays the pop up screen was displayed that stated that the visit had been registered.

Is there anything that I can do? I feel like I have been swindled out of about £40 cashback??

    Thanks in advance

If you have made several individual bookings, you should see a date and time for each one when trying to make a claim.
All clicks should be registered, even if a purchase hasn't been made.

I'm not sure of what rate was offered, but I refuse to book accommodation now from TCB. Usually there are 10%point of purchase discount codes available from various dedicated code sites and being instant, it means no waiting for cashback or claims!
It makes sense to myself anyway, even if the discount code is perhaps 2% less!

No luck unfortunately! I tried to talk to them but got fobbed off. They are saying that there is no record of the transactions. Cannot see them on screen and they are saying they cannot find them in their system!!

    No surprise there then!
If you were signed in and clicked through to any listed external site, the click must have been recorded (date and time stamped).
Something is definitely not right! Do you have access to more than one TCB account?
Hopefully you'll get to the bottom of this.

Only other option would be to go to the merchant direct. They will easily be able to identify where you clicked from to make your purchase. Again, both date and time stamped.
Good luck, hope you don't get 'fobbed off' yet again.

    Hi everyone,

@ Bugalugs – Each email that gets emailed to us gets looked into and replied to as an individual case. No copy and paste, no standard messages.

I am sorry if the date you saw and the date I saw were different and I am happy to review this if you have replied to the email provided.

@ Bugalugs – Although this has TopCashback branded, it is provided by a separate entity. I am going to get the team to take a closer look into this to see if we can get any movement on this soon. Generally, cashback for this sort of retailer takes a couple of months to progress to account for return periods etc.

@Mat_Money_saver_wannabe - Can you email me at MSE@topcashback.co.uk confirming the transactions you need to claim for with dates and preferably times? I will take a closer look into this for you.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

    Hi TCB

I have had a Tesco bank transaction made on 28 Oct 2017 incorrectly decline.

    Two issues:

    1) I cannot raise a Claim as its past 100 days.
    2) The merchant description seems to have changed since I took out the transaction, so it's says no record found.

Could you assist with this? My user name with you is the same as TCB.

I pretty peed off they have the nerve to decline this too be quite honest, so I may well just go via a Complaint to them, but I just want to check this isn't an error your side as the cashback offer has been renamed, so I appear to be able to do nothing on your site.

    Thanks

I take incorrectly declines very, very seriously and immediately go direct with a mis-selling complaint. No tickets needed.
With a TCB delay, I now give TCB 14 full days to investigate and resolve. I do not accept being told to go away and wait several more months! Usually, TCB are 'trigger happy' with their tickets and instead of focusing on looking at the issue, they just tell you to wait. Once I have that nonsense, I go direct. But, at least I can show the merchant I've tried and equally what I'm up against!
Obviously up to you how long you would give TCB to try and resolve, but going direct gives a maximum of 8 weeks (usually within 2 weeks).
Good luck and please post back.

My instinct is that Tesco haven't declined this at all, and the 'decline' is due to the way the offer has been renamed. When I took out the offer, it was called one thing, it is now called by another thing. Due to the rename, I cannot raise a Claim as it can find no record under the new name, and the decline is under the old product name.

I strongly suspect this is why this has gone to 'decline' - before I do anything else I want to see if this is just an error....if it is is an error, I expect this to be corrected without any hoop jumping.
