    Hi Everyone,

@Justice13075 – I do believe our Claims Team have been in touch about this.

@legendkiller2k8 - That is great news to hear!

@Mr N000bie and @bxboards – This merchant pays the difference several months later. This can happen after the tracked amount has gone to payable. This can take some time but we have spoken to the merchant and there is no way of getting this system changed I am afraid.

I do hope this helps everyone.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

There is absolutely nothing to indicate the 'merchant pay the difference several months later' - there is no such thing as 'no way of getting this system changed', if the ASA instructs them to do it, they will. I think this is quite blatant mis-selling as this appears to be new information that is not made clear at the point of purchase.

    MS Store T&Cs:

Unless otherwise stated expect transactions for this retailer to appear within 24 hours. Transactions are usually confirmed within a month and should become payable within 30 - 60 days after the event date, unless otherwise indicated on the Avg Payment Speed Statistics.

Transactions may initially track lower, but will uplift at a later date (note the 'may')

    Most important word is "will"

    Hey,

@digital , @legendkiller2k8, molerat – Many thanks for reporting this, I will ask our Tech Team to investigate this for you.
    Matt

Regarding repeatedly being ask to log in, my side this always happens just after receiving an 'You've received cashback in your TopCashback account!'

So if you get 3 or 4 e-mails a day, you'll need to log in to see the account 3 or 4 times.

I think if your tech team looks at the timings of the e-mails send, then new log in requests, you will see a pattern. This only has happened in the last couple of weeks.

  • I just don't accept that reply Matt.

First of all TopCashBack tried to get out of the transaction by pretending that I hadn't clicked through correctly, despite the fact I'd already had partial payout for the item.

Secondly, as I stated in my post, I have been waiting for 15 (FIFTEEN) months for payment. You own terms and conditions state "Unless otherwise stated expect transactions for this retailer to appear within 24 hours. Transactions are usually confirmed within a month and should become payable within 30 - 60 days after the event date, unless otherwise indicated on the Avg Payment Speed Statistics." We are talking about well over a year here.

This simply isn't good enough. I note that you are the only cashback provider that provides these enhanced rates of cashback for Microsoft Store, and that you have direct contact with the merchant, so what are you actually doing for all these old claims that are simply sat there? You're still offering bloated amounts of "exclusive" cashback for Microsoft products so you presumably have faith that these claims will be paid out. When are you going to sort out this mess?

That's surprising. So what's to stop people from just getting the top cashback then immediately downgrading?

Nothing as long as you have the package for the minimum period which is usually 31 days.

    Hi Everyone,

@ bxboards -We are a 100% cashback site that pays the commission when we are paid it. In that note you copied you should have seen the terms 'usually and should'. There can be exemptions, we pay all members when we are paid and while yes cashback is usually paid within the times we describe we don't promise or guarantee a time frame you will be paid.

Our Tech Team are currently looking into the logging in issue you have described, hopefully that won't continue for much longer now.

@Mr N000bie - Unique cashback rates can be agreed with the merchant via their cashback network, this is why you see exclusives on other sites too.

While I appreciate it’s taking longer than expected but we would rather offer this larger amount of cashback as I am sure you will agree when payment comes through. We want to bring our members the highest possible cashback rates and will continue to find ways to do this.

@ Oakdene - I would like to explain here that switching your account to Classic does mean losing the enhanced benefits, these include all benefits including the increased top up.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

Hi Matt, sorry I was talking about keeping sky package for a minimum term not the TCB membership.

It really does. I've been shafted by them claiming the cashback went to "another retailer" many times. That's why I switched to TCB.

Anyway, Matt, if you have a moment, would you be able to look in to a couple of missing cashback claims i've got outstanding please?

They're both sitting in customer care as "waiting for merchant" but it's now over three months and i'm wondering if i'll ever see the bloody money :)

    Cheers.

Send a nudge on the TCB site...
