Hey @B_M,
As explained in a previous post to you last week, there are some elements of the cashback process that TopCashback can't control. You agree to terms of a website when you join.
I would kindly ask you allow us to give members on this TopCashback Question and Answer thread the correct information, in line with cashback terms and conditions.
While we respect your views and frustrations with the overall cash back earning process for 100% cashback sites, please allow us to continue to help our members on this thread which is why this thread was created.
Regards,
Matt
There are some things TCB can control, but won't. Like advising those members who have been shafted with declined cashbacks from financial merchants, that there is indeed an Ombudsman service available. This Ombudsman service is a regulatory body and one with clout. They can enforce rulings and apply charges to financial merchants. TCB and MSE views etc are just that, views. They hold no clout whatsoever and when TCB state their t&c's rule, they are liars at best. If my post was wrong, then please report it and ask for it to be corrected or removed. The only thing I would add to it and I will the next time, is to ask for compensation if you do have to contact the merchant direct and especially if you place your complaint in the hands of the Ombudsman.
This forum and thread wasn't set up just for the benefit of TCB, although they may think they are 'special' and deserve that status. The forum is for everyone and the aim is to save move, expertly. Others can help MSE members to do just that.
TCB did have it's own forum, which it could control. They decided to close it down, partly (at least), due to members advising of the regulatory bodies route. If TCB want to control a forum, set a new one up.
Some good news. I opened up a support ticket with TCB asking about the eligibility of obtaining cashback from a financial merchant - a pre-purchase clarification and after a bit of a delay, received an OK. So I went ahead with the purchase and it tracked correctly and within minutes.
I have a Landlord insurance policy with British Gas (taken via TCB last year) and this insurance is underwritten and administered by AXA.
So, my question to TCB was.......I currently have a landlord insurance with British Gas. This is underwritten and administered by AXA. If I go direct with AXA this year, would that be OK? Nothing in the t&c's, so potentially I could raise an issue if declined, but I'd like confirmation first that it would be classed as a new different policy.
RegardsThanks for getting in touch.
Yes, you will be eligible for cashback if you purchase from AXA.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Michelle
If this did go wrong, then it would be a TCB error (even though they are supposed to be rare) and I'd fully expect TCB to honour any such error.
Yesterday, I contacted SSE direct as my issue was still outstanding. They were very empathetic and actually advised they had received complaints like mine against TCB and even had another one yesterday! They've promised to investigate my complaint and fully agreed I received a very poor level of customer service form TCB. Whether they take this further, it's down to them. I did receive some compensation, paid directly into my account, while they carry out their investigations into what went wrong and by whom.No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -
Snap & save app still bust
It's run by shopitize now. This may explain why the apps still bust.

Hi TCB
A rather embarrassing grammar error on some of your ads...
'Plus, get a 10% discount and an Exclusive Smart Lights Kit when brought online until 9th January 2017.'

Hello everyone,
@b_m – I am sorry you feel so disgruntled about the service we provide. I am here to help our members who want to earn cashback on their purchases and will remain to do so. If earning cashback is not something you wish to continue to do through us due to cashback not being guaranteed, that’s totally down to you.
We’re a site that’s being going now for over 11 years and have many satisfied members. I look forward to assisting those members who wish to earn cashback, bearing in mind the terms and conditions that are agreed to when they sign up. I kindly ask you allow us to do that.
@ rich_shot2003 – We are regularly in communication with the company who power the groceries section. The bug you have reported should resolve itself within 30 mins and correct.
@ bxboards – Thanks for flagging that, we have amended this and it should correct shortly.
@ steve1500 – If there is anything I can assist you with about TopCashback Groceries please do let me know.
Best wishes,
Matt“Official Company Representative

By not giving all available options to TCB members, I disagree totally that you fully assist members.
Cashback is virtually guaranteed for financial, utilities and contract based promotions etc, albeit you may have to involve regulatory bodies once TCB have failed you. Give the merchant a chance first though. Sadly, it means doing the work yourself, but it's not difficult.
I am disgruntled the way TCB avoid fully assisting members and could well cause members to lose out financially. This forum is not about that!
I'm happy that I can earn cashback from TCB and other cashback sites, although I do use discount and voucher codes more now as the discount is instant. Vouchercloud is well worth looking at before making any purchase. I still expect I'll have to do the work myself in the future as I have done over the past four years or more. I have been paid for every financial purchase I've ever taken via TCB, but many times I've had to launch a potential mis-selling complaint. Mostly for delays in paying cashback (over four months), but also a few wrongly declines.
When TCB start to fully advise that members have the option to take complaints to an Ombudsman, I'll not have to.
Until then, I kindly ask that you allow me to do that.
Where there is an Ombudsman, there is a way.
TCB may not like that, but it's a fact.
No need to reply Matt, but I'm willing to argue with you if you want to pursue this.
In the meantime, please ask your team to find out what's happening with the National Lottery fiasco? 7 weeks 4 days average? Really? How can that be? Read the reviews and explain why the £27 promotion is well over the 7 weeks and 4 day average please. Why have the stats not been updated? They must be false.Avg Payment Speed
7 wks 4 days
I'm waiting until 15 weeks and 1 day (100% above promoted expectation) and if not settled, then straight to yet another merchant with yet another complaint. You can't say I haven't been fair, patient and reasonable and the question must be asked, 'Have I and others been misled'?
I thought the TCB 'fair play policy' may apply here? Or, it is fair? Maybe let the merchant decide?
Best wishes,

I wonder if someone could give me some information :
I have rejoined TCB, after my membership lapsed and find that it now has two types of membership, Classic and Plus; new members automatically being enrolled for a trial of the latter.
From reading FAQs, it appears that Plus pays a higher percentage than Classic, but does take your first £5 of cashback. Also, it appears that the percentages quoted to people, who are either not members or are not logged in, are the rates for Plus memberships and those on Classic, see a lower rate when they log in.
Before joining and when enrolled for Plus, I see the rate for Medion , without a voucher, is 3.3%. Could someone on Classic or a staff member tell me what the Medion offer on Classic is please ?0
