  • I wonder if you can clear something up for me. I saw an advert to join TOPCASHBACK which said get a free Pebble phone charger from IWOOT for £9.99 plus P&P and get 100% of your money back.
    I have ordered and received the item but my account is saying only 10p cashback. I have sent in a query claim but I would like to know if I will receive the purchase amount stated eventually as I wouldn't have bought it if I had thought I was gong to be charged £11.98. Thanks, Irene

    I've used topcashback a couple of times during the past week, and noticed there seemed to be no mention of any transactions. I then saw that the computer was logged into my husband's topcashback account, whilst the companies I bought from were all addressed to me. We live at the same address and paid from our joint account. Does this mean that we will not receive the cashback or are they just slow in tracking?

    I have made another transaction with Worldwide Parcel services and this also tracked at 3% not 5%

    It should track at 60p by my reckoning.

    Out of interest, when your system knows what the cashback should be, and also knows what is being reported, why cannot this be pro-actively addressed perhaps with an auto-claim without requiring form filling from the end user? This now looks like a systematic problem as this has now happened to me with the last 3 transactions.

    I know you have a claims system but it simply is not worth the hassle and several months wait for 24p :)

    I switched energy providers on the 11th March to N power through Top cash back and used Free price compare site. It was confirmed about 7 weeks ago but still not ready for payout. Does anyone know how long it takes normally when using Free compare.

    Also when I logged in just now Top cash back said they want now to authenticate by account and have sent an email to my old email address which has now been closed down. How can I advise them what my new email address is please.

    @Irenejanine - no worries at all, I am glad I could help :)

    @MrsSave - If you were logged in to your Husband's TopCashback account this means the click records and transactions should still track back to his account as normal. If they don't a claim needs to be lodged in that account using the same personal details that can be seen on the order.

    @Yorkshire Pud - I am aware some members (including ones who took up the normal rate) are still waiting on the cashback. While we personally can't chase up individual merchants, we do chase up networks regularly to ensure they are investigating slow progressing cashback. Sometimes the investigations are really quick and sometimes they can be slow but what I can assure you is that as soon as we have any news your transaction will progress.

    @bxboards - Thanks for your suggestion. The real reason is due to the personal information being needed to query a claim and also that different merchants track things differently, they have different rates for different things etc. The whole system would be incredibly complex. However, what we do do is have ways to monitor tracking for each merchant and as you mention, if we notice a wider problem we investigate it and in most cases resolve it within a couple of days. However, this really only applies to merchants who have a wider tracking issue, rather than members who have the odd transaction track incorrectly.

    @MABLE - With the merchant you used, we have yet to collect enough information to provide an accurate estimate for the average payout speed I am afraid.

    With your email, this is certainly something I can sort. Please send me an email to mse@topcashback.co.uk and confirm your new and old email address in addition to two transactions in your account.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Lots and lots of different merchants tracking lower than the TCB advertised rates! One common denominator though.

    I've had a correct rate transaction track today, so it can happen!

    Co-op bank? Why or why did you let that drag on for so long?
    Financials can easily be resolved.
    No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.
