  • Tried the link but button still not there. Off to Tesco to buy Disney's Bambi and Jungle Book. Much more expensive without cashback, but so, so simple.

  • Hi everyone,

I hope you're all having a great Friday and looking forward to the weekend.

@Sillygoose I am really sorry about this. This week our Tech Team have been working hard behind the scenes on our site and this unfortunately has had an impact on the speed of the site. They are also working very hard to get the site more stable for our member and so I do hope you notice a difference very soon.

Is it possible that this maintenance has somehow disabled my account? I've been trying to access TCB since Thursday evening, but login keeps failing "Oops, login has failed. Please try again." . It's an active account and used regularly, so this can't be a dormancy issue? My login details are definitely correct, so that can't be the issue either.

I've tried contacting TCB via the online form but I'm not getting any response.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  • I can't log in to TCB. Haven't been able to for 2 days. Is the site down? I definitely have the correct log in deatils. Been using them for years.

@riverehen, could you also email me directly at mse@topcashback.co.uk so that I can take a look into this for you?

I look forward to hearing from you :)

I signed up for a FlexPlus bank account, I got the bank account, did not get the £80 cashback nor any cashback. Now I have a bank account that costs me £10 monthly, but no cashback. I lodged a claim, it was denied.

Topcashback: "I’m afraid that the merchant has taken the decision to decline your missing commission claim, no information in helping to clarify as to why this decision has been reached has been provided..."

    Hi ujjain,

I am sorry to hear that your claim went on to be declined, this is ultimately the decision of the retailer and I do apolgise that we have not been able to provide you with a positive resolution on this occasion. I am afraid that cashback is never guaranteed and although I know that it is easier said than done, we do advise that purchases are not made on the cashback alone.

I hope that your next purchase goes on to be more successful for you.

    Best wishes,
    Samantha

    I've been Money Tipped!
@ujjain, you will need to fight this yourself, but you will indeed be paid for a genuine transaction. Tcb Samantha is wrong, totally wrong and the ultimate decision is not that of the merchant for financial transactions, it's that of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) or indeed a court of law. I really wish tcb would not 'push this under the carpet' and openly advise ,members who have been cheated to go a step or two further.
You will need to raise a complaint with Nationwide and it must be a complaint. Nationwide then have 8 weeks to respond with a resolution (normally positive). It your complaint is not upheld, then contact the FOS and they will investigate your complaint and charge Nationwide a referral fee of £550 (win or lose). It is clearly not in the interest of Nationwide to allow this issue to get as far as the FOS (for a genuine claim).
Your complaint will be the mis selling of a financial product due to the non payment of promoted cash back from their agent (tcb).
    Complain:
    http://www.nationwide.co.uk/support/contact-us/make-a-complaint

Info for the FOS regarding tcb as the Nationwide agent (introducer).

You will eventually be paid, but sadly you will have to do the work. Tcb have failed you here and that's despite their 'fair play policy'.

Now cash back sites like imutual guarantee payment for certain transactions. Maybe worth reconsidering who you make transactions with?

Please post back once you have been paid.
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.
  • I"m sure this will have been answered before but how long does it take Expedia to pay? All my other transaction have been paid but this one remains outstanding. I've taken the holiday the money refers to so not sure what the hold up would be.

I also booked a trip with Expedia and was due to get £115 TCB. I took the trip at the start of September and still did not get the cashback even after contacting TCB. The answer was 'After looking into your claim further for you, I am sorry to tell you that your claim has been declined as the network has not identified ourselves as the last referral to the merchant’s site and this transaction'. I work with tabs and go through TCB then onto the website I require for my purchase. I still cannot work out how they have identified another website as the referrer to their website as I would only work with those 2 tabs.

Also I have read on here something to do with 'if you have an adblocker then this can prevent your visit being recorded'. I replied to them that they need to put this on the front page of the website so that people are aware of that. I also have TCB disabled on my adblocker so it should not have been that.

I have used TCB for over 4 years and have some Tesco small amounts which they don't look as if they are going to pay out although they have been showing okay but just never becoming payable. TCB should be getting onto that. I wonder if there are many people out there who are experiencing this with Tesco. They say that they will pay a small percentage as cashback then they don't honour it.

    Hi there,

@dragonflygal, it can take up to 12 weeks after your stay has been completed for the cashback to be received. Have you taken your stay yet and if so, when? I can then advise further on this.

@ailey, do you use a search engine at all prior to clicking through as this can cause your transaction to be attributed to another marketing channel also. Ad-blockers can have an impact on the tracking of a transaction and I do apologise if you were not aware of this and your feedback is greatly appreciated, you can always view some further information on tracking, on site here, by copying and pasting this link into your browser -

In regards to your Tesco amounts, could you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk with your transaction dates? I can then take a look into these in more detail for you.

    Best wishes,
    Samantha
