Good nutrition is not exactly difficult. The guideline details may be open to some debate, but the basic principles are sound.
- Plenty of fresh fruit & veg.
- Lean meat/fish/veg protein
- Carbs of your choice in moderation.
- Dairy in moderation.
- Observe daily maximums of salt, fat, sugar and calories.
Personally, I would ban food retailers from using the word "meal" or offering meal discounts in connection with any sale that exceeded 50% of the daily maximums for salt or fat, and 40% for sugar or calories. I doubt that it would affect McDs that much, but KFC would be in trouble.0 -
