Didn't McD have the last laugh on the horse saga? they have their own short track farm-to-burger supply chain, they have therefore been found to be completely clear of this scandal - they are usually the byword for 'junk food' but it seems it has less junk it than something from any supermarket.

Any word from Burger King on this though? ;)

Burger King found that some of their stocks were contaminated, and removed them.

Hasn't anyone thought of the obvious?

They've obviously just run out of regular buns! Happened all the time at my restaurant.

Uniquely the 1/4 pounder comes with a smaller circumference bun than the circumference of the burger itself.

This is probably a feature of the 1/4 pounder, and gives it some exclusivity being the only beef product to display this feature.

In future I would suggest the OP orders a more appropriately sized burger/bun ratio which can be found on all the other beef options on the substantial main course menu.

  • please don't tell me Mcdonalds have not been shinking the size of their burgers for years. A big mac meal is just a snack to me now, i don't bother anymore.

Same size burgers for many years now
  • I don't get how a people think a quarter pounder (measured in weight not length) could have got smaller.

We all know when you're a child and grow bigger that makes things seem smaller as you get bigger and older. Maybe given this and the fact you think they look smaller should be a hint to perhaps you need to stop eating them ;)

I'm not saying this has happened but if they change the constituents of the burger the volumetric size can change.

For example, if you change to meat with a higher proportion of fat, more will be lost during cooking and hence the resulting burger will be be smaller.

Remember the 1/4 pound is uncooked weight.

Although I agree with your point in principle. I would suspect if anything Mcdonalds would be reducing the fat quantity in their burgers as people are much more personally aware of how much fat they eat.

Therefore if anything I would suggest a 1/4 pounder burger would be in fact bigger than it used to be!

Which is actually the point the OP made, as they commented on the size of the bun shrinking relative to the burger, and I commented similarly on in post 4.

No I suggest you read the OP's post again.

They were complaining about the burger shrinking not the bun shrinking.

If you think this is a vent about the fact that Mcdonalds burgers are now bigger than they used to be then I think you've got completely the wrong end of the stick!
