Sent my other half to the shop for some salt and it says on the salt 69p which has been printed on it by the manufacturers. But it had a sticker on the top saying £1.10 which has been put there by the shop owner.
Some expensive salt right there..
Left over budget = £72.90
Hope OH only paid 69p for it them! If it's price-marked, it has to be sold at that price otherwise the shop keeper is in breach of trading standards.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Waste of time today at the hospital as DM's appointment was to discuss the results of the barium meal for which she is yet to receive an appointment. I honestly give up!
Got home at 7.15pm. Kids had gone to McDs for tea (as planned) but DH in bed with man flu. We had planned to get a takeout but he had a quick bite of cheese on toast and has now gone out to meet friends at the pub. I have had lo bolognaise and some ryv!ta crackers.
What a day!

Will try and eat out of cupboards and freezers for next few weeks as I think we have already overspent!!Grocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000 -
Well I nipped to A$da yesterday as OH is away and I wanted a nice desert as a treat, not the nearest SM but thought it would be cheaper and I needed some new slippers too. Total spends of £20.26, had to get the dog some special treats and they do sell some things cheaper so ended up popping them in the trolley too. £6 on coffee, well excessive but ti's nice !!!0
