Haven't made it in such a long time. Made a lovely change. Did you manage to find one?

Yes thanks I did find one eventually, actually have 2, but I had a devil of a job fitting everything back in the freezer, I really must get it organised but I am hopeless at it, I find when I strike lucky with YS I have to fit it in where it will go if that makes sense so consequently no real order in there. For instance I had a YS pork lion joint for 3.00 and it cut into 14 steaks so they are scattered through the drawers. Trouble is whenever I decide to run the freezer down I get lucky with the whoopsies and pile it all in again.

Oh well maybe one day it will get organised :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have cracked my top drawer lid through freezer tetris, so feel your pain :D. I also can't resist bargains but i am never lucky with good YS offers.

Another big shop today of £58.03, i wasn't expecting it to be quite that much with having done a Sains shop yesterday to get £12 off a first order. I am playing it close to the edge now, but i have reduced my amount for the month by £50. Perhaps this was the wrong thing to do and i should have maybe dropped it by £25. I have delivery saver left til 10 June and i have to spend £40, or pay for delivery; so unless they have loads of promotions and a £5 off voucher again ( although i have received a petrol voucher today that i will pass on to my Dad), then i am stuffed :rotfl:and will yet again be over budget. I know i will shop again in the next eleven days so i think i am kidding myself if i think i am going to achieve it; however i will have at least come in alot lower than previous months!

Off to update sig and check on the rest of the roast.

Small spend of £3.02 in Asda today on mixed herbs, frozen peas, frozen peppers, stuffing and gravy granules.
Not planning any more spends this week and I am hoping there will only be one more small top up shop to see us though until pay day.

NSD for me today and arranged to go to Wales for a week from next Saturday while my girls are on a school trip to Venice. This can only be good news for GC as my very kind mum likes to get specific food in and pay for it. :)Petrol costs will be off the scale but hugely grateful for free accommodation, pool and spa etc. Have offered to help pay site fees but parents having none of it.

I have just under £17 left for rest of month, fingers crossed should be ok, have plenty in x

I started a spending diary in June last year and was spending £400+ a month on groceries so set myself a target of £320. So pleased to have exceeded that. Summer months should be lower too. Even the dog prefers her Basics food at £1.50 for a big bag. :)

Not doing very well here as have posted twice and then lost it.

NSD today and for lunch we had roast chicken, mashed potato, carrots, cauli broccoli and onion sauce. This was followed by fresh fruit & Greek yogurt. Mum took some slices of chicken home and there is still some left so am hoping to do chicken risotto on Tuesday.

Had a real success with my Chinese meal tonight, it was really nice. I am trying to experiment more with HM marinades and dressings and this one was a total success :)

Weekly Mr T shop of £23 on Fri followed by extra fruit and bits for lunches today at £7.15 so up to about £125 now I think - only one weekly shop to go so should be fine but was hoping to come a fair bit under with it only being 4 weekly shops this month but nevermind - feel like I'm having to scrimp at every shop and next month I have 5 shops! Just gets harder to eat well on a budget every month....
