    Hi everyone,

Day off today so I treated myself(!) and went to A!di. It's not the nearest SM to me but there are items they stock that are so much nicer than Ts and worth the petrol/time spent.

Spent £53.69 but got lots of tins/dried goods, plus the corner yoghurts the children go mad for!

Next shop planned for the weekend, but should only be for F&V with any luck.

    Sig updated.
    Have a good day all.

MrT just don't send me vouchers bargain hunter which is a shame as I want do a home delivery.

MrA £17.43 this morning for cat fud, herbal teabags and F&V. 35p for 20 peppermint or vanilla/camomile teabags. I have given up caffeine so this is useful (and saving a fortune).

The nice blue castello cheese is 2 for £2 in MrS - glorious on basic crackers.

Just nipped to my local Ma*tins and I must say I'm a little shocked ... they've shrunk the milk. It used to be 4pints for £1 now you get 1.5l so thats like just over 2&1/2pints!!

Have discovered some vouchers in a drawer for M&S. Our nearest is about 20 miles away but will be going to visit friends next week (hopefully) and pass a Simply food store on the way so will probably nip in and see what there is,

Due to friends having to go to a funeral next week we went over to visit them today and on the way back called in M&S We got 1/2 a crispy duck with pancakes, chicken breasts with bacon and mushrooms in a sauce, some sauce for pasta, pears, 2 bottles of beer for DH, yogurt, bananas, oranges, loaf, juice, yogurt and some rhubarb totalling £38.08 handed over £37 worth of coupons and £1. 08 in cash :T :j Wouldn't it be nice to have these free vouchers every month. Only had some cheese & crackers for tea as we had a delicious and filling lunch at our friends.

Popped into the sm on way home to get some double cream, and came out of shop almost £10 lighter...Bought the double cream but also some ys meat for freezer, sugar, mushrooms and some very pretty tulips.

Well at least yesterday was a NSD and hopefully tomorrow as well.
Dinner tonight was chicken with veg (leek, carrot, broccoli and mushroom) in a cream sauce with herbs. Not sure how to call it but it was very good. Served with pasta. Also fancied something sweet so made a plum crumble (with more of the double cream, slightly whipped)
Yesterday a sort of bubble squeek style potato/cabbage/bacon dish.
Tomorrow will be fish and chips, but this will be at work so bread and salad in the evening. Am glad that it is almost weekend, despite my short week I feel I need it, too many meetings the last few days....

Will be going out for dinner a few times next week, but entertainment budget is rather low, so will see if we can use up some supplies out of cupboard/freezer for other days and use a part of the GC for eating out.....
