£2.40 on four large bananas and a small aubergine from the grocers . I only expected it to be about £1.80. I will stick to SM prices in future. I wouldn't mind but i used up aubergines last night with pasta, not realising i needed them today . Also spent £1.09 in the chemist on calamine lotion, as DD and I are covered in bites again :(.

Will add to sig, as not planning on any more spends today.

*Edited to say* and just seen they are now 50p in Tesco - gah! I could have shuffled around my meal plan and cooked my recipe later on . Does anybody know if they roast and freeze okay, as i'll stock up if so!?[/QUOTE

Yes they roast and freeze fine.

There's a code for £12 off a £60 spend here which is valid for existing customers - look down the thread for the code as the first one stated doesn't work:

Been to Lidl's, farm shop and Costco in last few days so spends have shot up :o but we're fine for chickpeas which we use a lot of for ooh about 3 months! Need to get some squash but that's on offer next week at Costco so need to go back but there's nothing else on offer I am interested in so hopefully not too much to be spent then.

Good to know, aubergines are my favourite veg and I can get loads very cheap from Leicester market when I visit mum and dad.

I am declaring at cough cough cough.

I will total up my spends, but I know I am over, maybe by as much as a £100. Eek.
    Onwards and upwards though.
My first Approved Foods order arrived today, all looks good. There is so much stuff on there that I would never buy, I can't see us buying a lot from there, but I got a lot of raspberry and yogurt cereal bars for packed lunches and masses of wraps, again for packed lunches. Some treats too. I can make cereal bars and wraps from scratch, but as I cook from scratch almost all the time I don't feel too bad about it - so much more convenient.
I am off to the June thread as I was paid today (early because of the weekend).

£15 spent today. Hubby went shopping after work. 2 Cravendale, taco shells, 2 packs of mozzarella, 3 ciders for hubby, cherryade for me.

Can't believe we have spent less than £300 so far this year.....

Well, minor change in plans as one of my best friends is leaving her OH and so is now coming to stay with is for a week, bless her. She is a veggie so this has meant re-thinking about all meals and I've also got some "treats" in to try and cheer her up.

Spent around £21 in Mr S and Ald1 today - will find exact amount and update siggy in a bit. This means I'll definitely go over my original budget this month, but extenuating circumstances I think.

Tonight we had baked fish, lemon and coriander cous cous and griddled asparagus with lemon, ,yoghurt and black pepper dressing - it was gorgeous!

I've also made the no-bake key lime pie again to take to our friends we are staying at tomorrow and got some bits out of the freezer for a raclette when my friend comes to stay from Sunday.

Have a good weekend everyone x

Sent my other half to the shop for some salt and it says on the salt 69p which has been printed on it by the manufacturers. But it had a sticker on the top saying £1.10 which has been put there by the shop owner.

    Some expensive salt right there..

    Left over budget = £72.90 :)
