Thanks as usual to everyone who contributes to running this thread

We do calendar months so I'll be on April for quite a while longer, but please can you put me down for £100 for May please - this is my lowest so far and I think will be quite tough (2 x adults, all food, household stuff and toiletries, but not pet food), but need to recoup going massively over on the entertainment budget at the moment and the freezer is well stocked. We will again be eating out a lot/away and attending a wedding in May so would be great to stick to this

    Good luck everyone x

Hi everyone, I'm still over on April until next week but I would like to get organised for May:)

As it is a 5 week month we will be aiming for £185 which will be a slight reduction as we continue to take baby steps towards £35 week:)

  • Please put me down for £200. My new month starts tomorrow! I'm looking forward to the challenge, but have to feed myself, 4 children and the dog on that and get toiletries etc. Fingers crossed!

I'm going to be in April til the end of the calendar month. I'd also like to get organised for May, starting with an emptyish freezer. All groceries, to include food, toiletries, household items and pet food for our family. I'd like a new target of £180 please.

I didn't get round to actually setting a target for April, but May's will be £100 please. I think I've managed to go from £180 a month to £100/month in eight months and we're eating really well, so I'm chuffed to bits. Thank you everyone who contributes to the Grocery Challenge, Volunteers and Contributors alike - without your work, collective expertise and contributions, I'd be lost.
    Better is good enough.

  • My first time doing this and would like to be put down for £110. I normally spend about £130 but am trying to cut down (there's only me and the pets, but thats a different budget).

May for me is the 24th based on 4 weeks

I think I'm being a bit too optimistic this month. It's my birthday tomorrow so we will be going out for a meal then next week my inlaws will be staying so my shopping will automatically go up with them here, not to mention we'll probably eat out.

Hope you had a nice day :bdaycake: Mine has been quiet, but enjoyable. I haven't decided on May's budget yet, as i am umming and arrrghing over whether to keep the same and include pet food purchased from SM again but not Zo*plus, or to not include and go lower :undecided. In fact, just looked through calendar, and DD is off school again at the end of May, so Coxy 11 (thanks btw) can you put me down for £350 again please, but this time it will include any pet purchases made whilst in a grocery store or grocery shopping online (incl. my last month of delivery saver) starting May the 1st. Hoping by June i can reduce right down incl pet and no delivery saver; but July, yet again school hols ....
