Not such a good start to May GC, nipped up to Mr T's last night as we had run out of milk and down to 1 slice of bread for DH's lunch. Got the bread, got the milk but also got side tracked by YS and ended up spending £11 instead of the intended £3. It's stuff we wil use but I need to learn some self restraint. Although, I wasn't as bad as a few shoppers who were literally shadowing the poor sticker man's every move!Christmas budget £266.38/£535 15/27gifts

Can you put me down for £200 for May, please?
This time my spending mustn't hit the skids after the first week! I need an unexpected £100 in June so must start skimping for it now. No naughty, mindless spending here this time.
Groceries, cleaning, toiletries..... everything really.(4 adults)

Hello all
Despite looking like April will be quite a bit under I'm going to keep budget for May at £325.
It will be tight as it works out as 3 fortnightly shops in May whereas I've only had 2 in April but lets see how we go we still have pretty good supplies in so I just need to plan carefully.
I'm staying on April until the end of the month but will try to keep up with you all on here too.
Good luck everyone

Hey!
I'm new to this - but can I be put down for £50 for the month please (my month runs 22nd Apr - 19th May)?
I feel it may be a bit optimistic, but I'm ok for all toiletries at the moment and the freezer is pretty full due to mum and Grandad off loading a meat delivery they haven't been able to get through on me (no complaints!!). Have only spent £2 so far on a couple of small things I needed as soon as I got back from holiday...going to do my main grocery shop tonight and wil see how I get on

Another NSD here - I was chained to tea making duties.
Last full day of workmen here - had a brickie plus plumbers. All I did was make tea! Then there was a leak!
Dinner was pastie, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, cauliflower, onion and gravy.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

May starts today for me (payday!) so did a big shop in Aldi to refill cupboards £79.25 - hopefully this will last a couple of weeks at least. Also placed my first Clarebarry order - £82.92 - this should be all the meat for the month for the 4 of us.
Feel like I've spent loads already!0
