I've been really unsettled and anxious this last week, like I'm on the edge of a crisis. I don't know whether it's hitting 50% paid, or just feeling trapped with it, and the relentlessness, or just work stress. I know I've done well to pay off as much as I have, and I am proud of myself, but I just feel impatient I think. As much as I want someone to just give me the money or win the money to pay off the rest of the debt, I would feel cheated out of paying it off myself. I got in debt myself and I want to pay back every last penny. Little wins along the way are great though!! :) My H@lifax CC has £427 left to pay and this month's payment is yet to go out. Once that has been paid off and closed down, hopefully by mid May, I'm going to start saving and just pay £40 towards my Ll0yds CC (minimum plus £10). I was going to start saving when I got down to £2000 but I think I need to start saving now. Maybe that will help me feel less anxious, to know that I have got some savings in case I accidentally hand my notice in or something :o

Orange Ena, you are doing brilliantly. :T I love that you share all of your achievements but also some of the more difficult feelings that can occur at any stage of the journey, even when you are halfway and going great guns. It really helps others who have similar feelings but who may have just started know it is all part of the process. i hope you feel more settled soon xx

It's fairly normal to have a wobble now and again. I've spent the past fortnight or so spending every last penny I have on stuff I don't need but just really want... Just don't give up. Make time for yourself so that you can do a bit of something you enjoy.
  • Nearly there at the end of the week for Facepack Friday!
Good work on the emergency choc purchase and roadkill investment to "the can that cannot be opened" :)
You've slogged away for a long time to get to 50%, I think you should stop and take stock, and ease up for a little while.

Thanks for your lovely post DIA :) I found keeping this diary so helpful for myself, to get it all out of my head but then to be able to look back at it too. If other people get something too, then that's great. It's a hard journey at times but I'm forever grateful that I found mse again after I fell off the wagon. I'm moving which is better than doing nothing at all I guess :)

Maybe it's the bank holiday weekend but I am feeling a bit better :D

Thanks CCL, I must do something nice this weekend.

I guess that's only natural that you can go a bit spendy mcspendface after being in debt a few years, and especially when you've had so much to deal with lately. Hopefully that'll pass and it settle down soon.

Hehe sadly no Facepack Friday today..........because it's proper Facial Friday! I had a day off and booked a facial and now my skin feels lovely and hydrated :T

Thanks, it feels like I've slogged away for ages but it's only really been 10 months since I've had my 2nd LBM. But I have been quite full on at times with all the surveys! I think maybe I should have a month of not doing much and treating myself a bit more but then I just feel that takes me further away from my goal and keeping me stuck longer in the job I hate. So then I push on. And here I am, about to post my money saving / making efforts :o

I will think about what you've said though, thanks for posting :)
