    An inspiration indeed!!!

    Just caught up on the last couple of weeks or so! Lodger end of May, eh? That's going to bring in lovely money!!! Whoop whoop for you!

    Haha thanks Catriona :p Nice to see you back :T

    The spare room is pretty much finished but I don't want a lodger now! It's too nice for a random stranger :rotfl: I might have to sleep in there tonight......you know........just to check it's acceptable :rotfl::D

    No seriously, I can't wait to get someone in and bring some extra money in. Show me the money!!! :rotfl::D

    Evening :) So tired again tonight despite a little nana nap earlier. Planning on 2 lovely lie ins at the weekend.......depending on how starving hungry / bored my cat is :rotfl:;)

    Friday 6th May
    * £6.09 for lunch and some other bits
    * £5.95 on some chalk paint for my headboard and chest of drawers
    * £18.79 in T3sco, a few things for a bbq
    * 2 i-S@y surveys
    * 2 VO surveys

    Saturday
    * £27.90 for more paint and wax. God knows why I thought 100ml of paint would cover a single headboard and a small chest of drawers. So FYI, it doesn't :rotfl:
    * £2.99 on a small hairbrush for my handbag in TKM@XX. I went in looking for drawer knobs and didn't see any I liked. I can't believe I escaped with only a £2.99 spend though. Quite a result!
    * PA survey
    * 25p sweep into my overpayments account
    * £22.97 received from PA and transferred to my overpayments account

    Sunday
    * NSD
    * Finished painting and waxing the headboard and chest of drawers, looks good
    * Did some shredding
    * No surveys at all :eek:

    Monday 9th May
    * £11.85 in T3sco
    * £124.72 received from the ppi company and rounded up to a £125 payment to H@lifax CC
    * 72p sweep into my FD savings account
    * VO survey
    * 2 TCB transactions didn't track so missing cashback claims started. It's only for about £2, but still!

    Tuesday
    * £3 in T3sco
    * £6.10 in Costa for lunch with my friend
    * £30 on fuel
    * £10 won on People's Postcode Lottery :T
    * i-S@y survey
    * VO survey
    * Youg0v survey

    Today
    * £60.48 in T3sco, includes groceries, stocking up on offers, cat food pouches, pyjamas, undies, socks, cushion and pillowcases
    * £45 for the spare room carpet to be fitted
    * VO survey
    * Pinec0ne survey
    * £1.43 sweep into my overpayments account

    2 weeks to payday and it can't come quick enough really. Been a bit spendy on the house and lax with making lunches so need to rein it back in before I have to dip into any rainy day savings. I was hoping to have cleared my H@lifax CC this month but I've held back some extra payments just in case, but it will definitely be cleared around 5th June when my DD goes out :T

    * 2 PA surveys
    * 2 VO surveys

    A memory came up on Faceb00k the other day where I'd posted in 2009 that I'd finally paid off my student loan 11 years after graduating. If I'd have carried on saving what I was paying every month, I'd be sitting on £7.5k (plus interest) now :eek: That money just got absorbed back into my "budget" and frittered away. I have learnt my lesson though as now my mortgage is £70 lower than 2 months ago, I've been paying that straight to debt, and once I start saving, that payment will be siphoned off before I get my mitts on it :rotfl::p

    I didn't have a chance to partake in Facepack Friday so I've done it today........Sort Me Face Out Saturday. Ack, I'm flexible!

    Bonne nuit. Gute nacht. Buenas noches. Good night. :rotfl: :D

    I've decided that although I'd like my bathroom to be updated, it's really not too bad so I'm going to target my bedroom next. I've still got about £1000 left from the money my dad gave me that my uncle left him and I won't use it for debt but getting my house straight is acceptable :) It will mean a delay in getting a lodger as I'll need to move everything out of my bedroom, including myself. I'm trying to do it as quickly as I can. The carpenter is going to give me a quote for new skirting boards then I'll get a couple of quotes for decorating. The radiator and doors are already done so I'll just need to buy paint, wallpaper, curtains and a new carpet (remnant :)) I might also get a quote to turn a cupboard into a wardrobe and as much I'd love bespoke shelving etc, it'll probably just be 2 mdf shelves and a rail :D I really don't think **read hope** that it will cost £1000 so any money left over will go to the bathroom / garden fund. I started decorating about 5 years ago and abandoned it half painted so it's really not restful, and it's so cluttered. And dammit, I'm jealous of my spare bedrooms beauty :rotfl: I want my bedroom to look beautiful. :p

    Even though I've decluttered numerous times, I need to be extra harsh and kondo the crap out of it. I want to create a restful boutique hotel style bedroom and that does not include 20 boxes stacked in the corner under a textured throw :rotfl:;)

    Operation Boutique Bedroom begins on Sunday :T Wish me luck :):)

    Operation bedroom sounds exciting. You are doing great. The cupboards in my bedroom are turned into wardrobes and they work well and give me more floorspace.

    'Condo the crap out of it' is brilliant Orange Ena, :rotfl: you have a way with words

    Do you transfer all the change from a £1 into a specific account? Would it matter if an account had regulars small amounts paid in as thinking of doing it for my debt too...

    Have a good weekend :)

    Thanks DIA. I've wanted to turn that cupboard into a wardrobe for years so I must do it. I've not had a wardrobe for years (since I sold it on ebay for a profit :rotfl:), just a rail so it'll be nice to have my clothes put away.

    :rotfl: Haha thank you :)

    I transfer all the odd pennies, or £1.xx if i'm feeling flush, into a separate account which I've named my overpayments account. I then transfer a chunk to my CC but this month I've hung on to it as I've been a little spendy and don't want to leave myself short. When I had a balance on my Nati0nwide CC, I would transfer the sweeps directly from my current account. The statements that came through were a couple of pages long :rotfl: So I don't think it matters that there's little amounts. :)
