Well knock me down with a feather.......I've had a little windfall
And after I said last night about a lottery win or mystery benefactor
I've cosmic ordered it, just like N0el Edm0nds :rotfl: Late last year I contacted a ppi claims company, not really thinking I'd had any ppi but I was so desperate for any money to clear my debt I thought it was worth a try. I know I could have done it myself but in all the years ppi claims have been around, I've not found any motivation to write and claim
I gave them all my previous credit card providers and most of them came back as a definite no to ever having ppi. But then they found one CC provider to take a claim further with. I had the odd update then heard nothing until about 3 weeks ago when they rang to say that my claim had been rejected and did I want to appeal. I really thought there'd be no point but I told them they might as well try as it wasn't costing me anything. Well, well, well.....they've only come up trumps. After fees I should be getting about £140. Not loads but better than a slap round the face with a wet fish :rotfl::D If I use this payment and the £270 (normal payment and mortgage difference) then my H@lifax CC will be down to £14 outstanding. So chuffed, and excited!
:)
Today
* £3.41 on a Subw@y lunch. Should have been £3.79 but the guy saw my NHS badge and said we get 10% off. Thankfully it was a sunny day so I didn't have my coat on otherwise I never would have known :rotfl:

I had my new sofas delivered last week but they arrived with dirty marks on them. They sent someone out to try and clean them but after doing one of the marks, it looked worse! They rang today to offer me new covers but I said I wasn't happy as the water damage from cleaning has spread underneath, the fabric would be a different batch and therefore may not totally match the undamaged footstool and it had ruined the experience for me knowing they were just cobbling it all together. I was ready for a fight but I didn't get one! New sofas and footstool have been ordered and will be here in about 9 weeks but in the meantime I can use these sofas. Just hope my cat doesn't scratch them too muchDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

Cosmic ordering it's true, but notice it was you who instigated the windfall by contacting the PPI firm. Brilliant :TIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I've been really unsettled and anxious this last week, like I'm on the edge of a crisis. I don't know whether it's hitting 50% paid, or just feeling trapped with it, and the relentlessness, or just work stress. I know I've done well to pay off as much as I have, and I am proud of myself, but I just feel impatient I think. As much as I want someone to just give me the money or win the money to pay off the rest of the debt, I would feel cheated out of paying it off myself. I got in debt myself and I want to pay back every last penny. Little wins along the way are great though!!My H@lifax CC has £427 left to pay and this month's payment is yet to go out. Once that has been paid off and closed down, hopefully by mid May, I'm going to start saving and just pay £40 towards my Ll0yds CC (minimum plus £10). I was going to start saving when I got down to £2000 but I think I need to start saving now. Maybe that will help me feel less anxious, to know that I have got some savings in case I accidentally hand my notice in or something :o
It was payday today :j:T And the last month of being £100 short due to my old lease car damage. This next month my H@lifax CC will be history leaving just once CC. And towards the end of May, I can begin searching for a lodger :T
