    So sad to read that news about your friend. Life certainly needs to be grabbed with both hands...

    You're right, none of us know what's around the corner. We need to live our lives.

    Good evening. The debt busting continues......I'm more determined than ever to get it paid, leave the job I hate and live a nicer, happier, simpler life. Life is too short to be miserable and unhappy. As long as I've got a job that pays enough to cover my bills, a roof over my head, food and water, I reckon I'll be ok :)

    Tuesday
    * £19.88 in T3sco
    * Finally dropped my Mu5ic M@gpie and Z1ffit parcels off
    * 2 VO surveys
    * I-S@y survey
    * 81SB earned and a £5 Am@zon voucher redeemed

    Today
    * NSD
    * £11.77 requested from TCB
    * £10 missing cashback claim from January has been approved so I'll request that tomorrow
    * PA survey
    * 2 P0pulusLive surveys
    * £1.12 sweep into my overpayments account
    * 72p sweep into my FD savings account
    * 180SB earned

    * £14.50 received from an eb@y collection item
    * Youg0v survey

    I'm still not 100% well, a little cough remains unfortunately and I feel quite run down with it all. My skin is suffering, it's all blotchy and the skin around my nose and lips is especially dry and starting to crack. My hair is also very dry and a bit Worzel Gummidge esque! I was putting some make up on at lunch time on Friday as I don't get a chance in the morning and I was using my little compact mirror and noticed is was a bit grubby so I cleaned it. I wish I hadn't as I looked even scabbier and dry skinned than I thought :eek::eek: And old. I look bl00dy old :eek: I think I need to add a YNAB category savings goal........facelift :rotfl:

    But in the meantime, I've been to B00ts and used all my points and spent an extra £7.32 on 2 lip balms (I know I've got about 37 lips balms already but some of them are useless and will be disposed of) a face mask, hand cream and a nourishing hair mask. I declare last night was the first ever Face Pack Friday! A whole night dedicated to pampering myself, slathering top to toe in lotions and potions. Maybe I'll do a manicure, and have a cheeky nana nap as well on future Face Pack Fridays :D I think I might use some of Am@zon gift card balance to buy some face packs as they're a quid each in B00ts. I know that would only be £52 over the year, but, you know, THAT'S £52 OVER THE YEAR!!! :p I've earned the vouchers by filling in endless surveys so I can sit and fill more surveys in while my face is being nourished!

    One of the lip balms in B00ts had 200 bonus points but when I was at the till, I split my goods up, some were bought using my points and some were paid for with my debit card. When I got home and checked my receipt, my bonus points hadn't been added and I realised I probably didn't qualify for the bonus points when I was redeeming my points. I didn't want to go back, get a refund and then start again so I rang customer services and they've kindly added the points I should have got. Yay. This year I've found its really worth querying things, like chasing up cashback, survey payments due and now this. £16 better off for a bit of effort! :T:j

    Wotcha! My hair is feeling and looking so much better since I've been using the hair mask. It's been nice to spend a bit more time looking after myself. Still plenty of room improvement though :rotfl::p

    Sunday
    * NSD
    * Listed 4 items on eb@y
    * Listed 3 items on Fr33gle
    * Put 4 items in the charity shop box
    * No surveys or SB earnings

    Today
    * NSD
    * £9 requested from Pinec0ne
    * £11.77 received from TCB
    * Sold an item for £17 on ebay, cash on collection and should be collected tomorrow night.
    * 2 Fr33gle items will be collected tomorrow
    * Made an appointment for fence quotes for tomorrow and Wednesday and the plasterer is coming tomorrow to check what needs doing. It's going to be busy after work tomorrow as the fence man, plasterer, eb@y and Fr33gle collectors are all coming between 5.30-6.30! :eek:

    It's all moving on nicely, getting rid of stuff and making bits of money. I keep being tempted to pay £58 to H@lifax to take me to 50% paid but I'm trying resist as it's still a week to payday and things are getting a bit squeaky tight. Delayed gratification :T

    Evening! I'm on half day tomorrow so that's good. Any time I spend not doing my stupid job is good with me :)

    Today
    * £3.10 on lunch
    * £25 on fuel
    * £9 received from Pinec0ne!
    * £10 received from TCB
    * £5.15 received from Mus1c M@gpie
    * £17 cash received for an eb@y item
    * Youg0v survey 50pts
    * VO survey 75p
    * i-S@y survey 50pts
    * Both Fr33gle items were collected and the plasterer turned up. The fence man didn't bother to turn up or contact me so he goes in the 'do not use' book. Once chance and he's blown it, maybe a bit harsh but I've been repeatedly let down by tradespeople. Grrrr. Hopefully the other fence man will turn up tomorrow! :o

    And finally......drum roll please..........

    I've paid off 50% of my CC debt! :j:j:j I couldn't wait any longer so I've taken £58 from my overpayments account and paid it to H@lifax. My CC debt now stands at £3447.

    I still plan to get the CC debt down to £2000 then save, save, save. So I've got to pay off another £1447 which I'm hoping to do in the next 3 or 4 months (£482 x 3 months or £361 x 4 months). This next payday will be the last £100 I've had to pay towards my lease car so by May pay, I'll be back to my normal pay plus I'll feel the benefit of my £70 reduction of mortgage payment. I have managed quite well in the last 2 months with reduced pay and when I leave my job I'll have to get used to less income :eek:;) So, my plan is to pay my normal £200 debt repayment, plus the £70, plus the £100 I've been paying out for the last 2 months which takes me to £370. If I can squeeze another £112 from somewhere, I'll be chuffed and will hit my target the beginning of July :T:j I hope by then my spare room will be ready for a lodger and the rest of my debt will be demolished :T:j

    That's the plan anyway. Come on lottery win! Mystery benefactor! Secret attic treasure! :rotfl::D

    You don't need any of the above. You will succeed by the content of your character :D
